also, about the earth moving 2 inches and killing millions of people....are you serious? the earth moves more then that on a yearly basis, i don't see millions dead anywhere?

By the way ^^^ his point is totally true..I know the same thing from long ago and Im either sad or laughing when looking at people freaking out because they cant use their brains properly...

I think I know about few theories of what may happen after 2012, one theory is that we will switch to " the fourth dimension" whatever its going to be, other theories say some who are ready will go to the 4th dimension, those who are not will stay.. and many others relevant to dimensions or our powers...

as far as the earth moving, I think he is referring to the tilt of the earth off its axis and not just rotating and tilting as it normally does....

as for the other parts, the postulations and theories are interesting at least in my opinion, gives you something to pause and think about but do I believe it will happen? no. but then again , stranger things have happened in the past, other giant cataclysms , research does show that the earths magnetic poles were quite different at one time and caused tremendous upheaval in the earths crust and thus climate and many different cultures all have a great flood story in their history, so again, whose to say, the earth used to be flat remember?
 
I honestly do not know, I don't want it to happen, however there is some pretty convincing evidence or facts that really does make it look like it will happen. 2012 is the year that I graduate and boy do I want to graduate. I've read so many books and seen so many videos that I just don't care anymore. We'll just see what happens.
 
I wont accept any kind of apocalyptic notions that don't involve zombies. So you can put this pointless 2012 folderol to rest, because in of the countless predictions zombies are not mentioned. Its the end of calendar, get over it.
And truthfully, if the world believed in this "2012 theory" then there would be a mass panic and preparations.

Instead, everyone is just going on with life.
Nobody truely believes it
 
Something extremely significant will happen in 2012.

Don't know what, but it will not be the end of the world.
 
To actually consider the actual demise of the human race in one year could happen. However stop being sheep and believing the media.
 
I didn't read all the responses, because I feel lazy... so if this is a duplicate.. then sorry. Kinda.

Everything has an end. People back then probably didn't want to spend their entire lives arranging a calander, so they made one and had it end on a certain day that made sense to them. Maybe that was because of influence from another culture that had done the same thing, or maybe not. All I know is that if it ends, then it is time for it to end. If it doesn't, which it probably won't, then we'll find another doomsday date and get all uptight until that day comes and passes. The end of humanity will probably come from our own hand, so we shouldn't look to the sky for answers, but amoung ourselves.

I don't believe it will happen. It's just a scare tactic like how somebody predicted y2k.
I can say something right now, and people would believe it. I believe the only reason that the people who predict these events are just trying to get people to get so scared that the fear the end, they kill themselves.

That's my thought, though. I'm not a scientist, I'm a 13 year old student.
 
Its going to be another Y2K where everyone stocks up on toilet paper and medicine while the other 1% of the population sit in their chairs watching these idiots on tv go on looting sprees. Then realize they wasted all of their money on nothing.



My reason why I don't believe this? We are nearly missed by huge comets pretty often, like in april we almost got annihilated by a comet.

And in response to the video above me, why would the world end in 2012? why didn't it end in 1998?
