Day and night my friend. As Duality stated you cannot compare the two at all. If you want an epic SP go with Mass Effect 2. If you want an epic MP go with Bad Company 2.

epic multiplayer? Sorry but SO MUCH work needs to be done to BC2 for the final release. This beta in opinion is pretty bad. The aiming isnt smooth. It takes 20 bullets to kill someone. The vehicles arnt quite right. Yeah its a beta, and they just wanna test how the game works, but alot of tweeks needs to be made. So i wouldnt call it epic just quite yet.

PC-players didn't get the first Bad Company, so I for one don't give a rainbow coloured crap. It's fun and that's what counts in my book.

As for the poll, I choose them both.
There's no reason to go picking between an RPG and a FPS. They're both excellent games.

Could be wrong, but...Mass Effect 2 has been released, and is already a Game-Of-The-Year contender. Bad Company 2 is still in beta (public beta, but still beta) and I've heard some beta-like things about it... sooo....can you really compare the two?

Yes, yes we are. I realize that you feel like (and they are) taking the cheap route with this, assuming you have played BC1 on the consoles which I remind you once again PC-gamers did not have. I'm just saying that as an avid PC gamer whose last gaming console was the Gamecube (Zelda!) we did not get BC1 and therefor I am very happy with this latest installment. At least it will suffice till we wait for the real bang, BF3.
Just my opinion though. I wouldn't be so lenient had we gotten the first game on the PC.

Yep, that's a valid opinion. I just get annoyed when developers repackage something and then release it like it's the next big thing.

Though if you ever do get a chance to play the first I do recommend it. With the way the industry is going today it's pretty rare to get a light heart war game. Everything must to be dark and gritty...and judging from BC 2's singleplayer trailer, they're following the heard.

I watched a 21 minute(ish) GTTV-episode which focused almost entirely on BFBC2 and showed us multi- and singleplayer footage and interviewed some of the developers. They said the humor hasn't gone anywhere, it's just been reduced slightly, seeing as the squad is now in a much dire situation than it was in the first game.
We'll see however. Gotta look into playing the first game.
