As part of a brief marketing plan for a toothpick company, I have to do a small research about which is better Wood or plastic toothpick.

Appreciate any help and feedback.

always liked the taste of wood toothpicks vs the plastic ones, plus plastics are hard on the environment.

I dispose of a toothpick after every use, but when you eat like spare ribs, and the crap is really in there and I try to use a wooden one, the tip bends. I prefer a hard plastic one for food removal itself. But i may use 5 wooden ones over the course of use. Although wood is renewable, and we do not have recycling here, so I do not recommend the use of plastics.
