After a lengthy debate, we have enabled QuickPlay on VALVe maps.

Because of this, we will have to disable the no-spread and no-crit based competitive settings. Originally, we were going to have a mod to disable these on the sly, but VALVe is now punishing servers for using such tactics.

The change is already in effect.

Guys, really? Think about this, the server has been dropping in the rankings for about the last month, and guess what? It went up today. Thats how fast this helped our server. It may not be competitive style any more, but it will be more full and that is better for the division in the end.

I'm glad we took the step. Even though we had to lose some competitive features, it will be for the best overall.

Yes, I am "upset" that we lost the competitive game style on Vale Maps. I liked the feature, along with the player base it drew. Am I complaining and saying I am not going to play on the may any longer? No. I will continue to do what is best for our servers, of course, but it doesn't mean that we don't have a right to be upset over losing our only competitive server as well, when its the game style we enjoy. But I know that each and every single one of us will continue to support the servers and play on the as much as we did before.

I don't want to have to go to the lobby like Shiz suggested, I personally don't enjoy playing off of eGO servers. I just don't do it unless I want to play dodgeball or something.

That's why i love Uma <3

Well put, Uma. We could always host Competitive Event nights, though - that would be sweet.

I seem to be one of those noobs who prefer the crits and spread. Strange, I think I just realized why I suck so much at TF2. But with quickplay enabled we got valve maps and foundry going real easy early this morning.

Agreed

Thissity-this. Of course I'll still support Valve Maps, I'll just miss not getting random critted. :c

Mils - I LOVE YOU TOOOOOO ....(hacker)

Believer - that would be awesome!! I love this!! :D

Wyrm - you get used to it. I hated it at first honestly because 2Fort is my home server, but after playing on Valve Maps for forever I got used to it, and I like not taking a random critical rocket directly to the face :P

I will admit that Kevi saying last night "I hit him in the crotch and it registered as a headhshot ... wtf?" Was pretty amusing while he and LilShortStuff were talking about hit boxes, however. Lol
