Yes you heard that right! Activision has laid off key members of Radical Entertainment's staff & therefore the company will no longer be around. However, remaining members of Radical will continue to work on games under Activision's direction. There was a tweet bout this on Activision's page. I just found out bout this via Xfire.
In just a short amount of time, Prototype 2 managed to set records for sales, but according to Activision, the sales were apparently not good enough. Im thinking that Activision was gonna pull the plug on them anyways, even before this game was gonna come out, but they wanted to see if they could get enough game sales.

Well, now imho, Activision has lost another customer (this guy). Although Radical didnt make a bunch of games, they were well noted for their creative ideas, as well as starting the Prototype series. I seriously think that Activision should have shut down the team earlier & cut their losses, but its always bout the $$. God only knows how many more developers that they will kill off before its all their product. This is just getting more sickening how these companies are just trying to kill off the gaming industry (well more specifically their competitors). My heart truly goes out to those who just got laid off & I do hope that they will be able to find some form of a job that will help to take care of their rent & food. Meanwhile Activision gets millions more.

Welcome to the world of Activision. They have done the same thing to the main producers of each CoD game so that they didn't have to share the money. Activision greed is almost as bad as EAs

This is why I have stopped buying any game that isn't indie or valve ^^, blizzard too, sometimes...

Yeah, this is pretty much how I felt after they put the ax to Bizarre Creations.

Oh, EA wishes they could be as greedy as Activision. Bobby Kotick puts everyone to shame in that department.

What i saw that games they made the only decent one was Prototype.

The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, was basically a early version of Prototype...except more entertaining to play.

Activision wants all their new games to sell 6 million copies on launch day and then another 6 million in under a month or else they're not satisfied.

Activision has milked more games than EA. Honestly though, I think I'm done with activision.

Ea stopped there aggressive business practices years ago, now they mostly just try to manipulate money out of you or do things like pulling games from valves service so yoru forced to buy it from EA "orgins" in the hope that you will also buy other games from the service instead of the 3 big name titles they forced you to buy from it rather than valve, BUT they mostly go for DLC money, Sims3 TONS if expnasions and DLC Mass effect several DLC, Bf3 map packs, DLC, and buying perks.

Activison, is basically what EA used to be, history is doomed to repeat its self EA games stopped doing it because in the long wrong it losses you money, you gain a bad rep meaning customers stop buying, other companies stop trusting you and will refuse to let you produce their games and share holders are reluctant to sell to them, game designers don't want to work for them, SO in the long run this business tactic is very short term money gain, it will come back to bite them, took EA close to 10 years to even gain the trust of fellow game companies again and as i can see from comments here they still have a nasty stain on their reputation despite them actually legitimately changing their ways, they fired the CEO in charge of those practices YEARS ago

So basically activision can keep on going this way, they will loss customers, they will lose bussiness partners, they will lose trust in the bussiness preventing them from gaining new partners, and worst of all they will loose the talent of game devolopers, new devolpers dont want to work for them, experienced devolpers will leave, and work for more respectable companies, no one wants to put there heart and soul into a project just to be fired after they collect the money and fire you so they dont have to give you any of it.

The fact it takes 3 separate teams to even pump out a new COD game now is proof they can't keep employees
