I got called for it a few years ago. Sat in the hot over crowded courtroom waiting for my name to be called for 6 hours. Had to come back the next day only to be called first and sent home. Then I ate the minstrels and rejoiced.

Not legally. It was an error on their end. But I've heard nothing from them since.

Yay, no Jury Duty today. I got placed on phone postponement...so I get to call the court house until I either get called or they dismiss me. Since I already got work off I'm stayin home and playing some Bioshock Infinity.

Yep, its been a pretty good day. Oh and in more Jury duty news, I called up the court house and I was excused. So no jury duty after all.

Im sorry, but I just love the idea of that made up script. That just made my night. But ya I remember when I was called for jury duty when I was 18. Thankfully I didnt have a job back then, but in the end I was called & went into some court room where the case was discussed bout some old school car & since ive never been a mechanic, I was instantly dismissed. I did manage to make $6 for the entire time I had to wait & get listen to the pre-court case. Havent been called since & seriously hope I never get called again. I really wish there was a way to get exempt from doing jury duty. Im thinking that its a way to punish us for some weird, stupid reason.
