Starting your first fires...
Hello, Bleu!
Happy to see another Pyro main around (you will get to know that all the other classes are inferior in the presence of Pyro

). I'm not too great at giving guides or information, but let's give this a shot!
AIR BLASTING:
Air blasting is VERY important. With this wonderful power, you can deny any projectile that your enemy launches at you. The only problem is... it's hard to master (I'm not too great at it either). Something that helps me reflect is to listen an look. With a default Rocket Launcher, it's better to watch; if the rocket gets too close to your flamethrower, mouse 2 away! The Huntsman (Sniper's bow and arrow) is the same deal; watch the color streak the arrow makes to give you guidance when to blast. With the Direct Hit, however, I find it best to air blast as soon as you hear the rocket launch (only if you are somewhat close to each other). Once again, I'm not a reflecting goddess, so don't take my advice word for word

.
Air blasting is also a great way to help your team mates! Here's a list of good deeds done with a good ole air blast:
- Putting out fires on burning teammates
- Keeping an ?bercharged enemy away from your teammates
- Incapacitate your enemies by keeping them sky high
- Blasting enemies off cliffs or into other hazards
- Protecting your team's sentries from projectiles
- Protecting the point/objective by air blasting foes and projectiles
- Shoving Dedicated Supporters into corners after the round ends (very important)
WEAPONS:
The weapons Valve provided for the Pyro give players a whole variety of play styles to mess around with. The default weapon set consists of a Flamethrower, Shotgun, and the Axe. This really isn't a bad set up! The only thing I would recommend changing is the Axe. While the Axe has nothing wrong with it, it doesn't have any buffs. I personally prefer the Power Jack, because of the speed boost AND you gain health on kill! Only problem is that you take 20% more damage when you have it out; whether or not you choose to use it is your choice. Now, let's talk FIRE! The Flamethrower is Pyro's primary weapon. To use this weapon effectively, know when to use fire and when to air blast. The best thing I have to say about this weapon is that if you're in a small space, WM+1 everything! If you are in a larger space, blast your enemies in the air, switch to your secondary weapon, then finish them . There are many different types of flamethrowers, but I would go with the default Flamethrower or the Degreaser. Now for secondary weapons, such as the Shotgun. The Shotgun is great! The clip size is convenient, and it gives you plenty of time to attack/reload. Like the Flamethrower, there are many secondary weapons in the Pyro's arsenal. I recommend these three: Flare Gun, Shotgun, or the Reserve Shooter. NOTE: People will hate you for using the Reserve Shooter! Ignore them, and show them its true power !
Well, that's all I guess! I really hope that this was helpful. Welcome to the community, and enjoy your (eternal) stay! Now, go forth bring destruction to the world!
