First of all, I apologize for grammatical or spelling errors in this post, but its 3am, I can’t sleep, and this really is something from the heart that I feel needs to be addressed.
Recently, especially on our TTT server, we have had several complaints about people being trolled, bullied, or discriminated against just because of their age, sexual orientation, race, or even what community they belong to. This is something that happens time and time again, and is posted about constantly, but we as a community need to start stepping up.
First and foremost, THIS. IS. NOT. ALLOWED. It’s almost become the norm that people think it’s okay to treat others with disrespect no matter what, and it’s absolutely disgusting. Bullying is something that needs to be rightfully addressed and dealt with head-on, but lately seems to be ignored by a lot of people. It’s terrible to be treated with disrespect just because they are different.
One of the main reasons why I am writing this is not only have i seen it happening in-game, but being done by Admins themselves, which to me is just plain wrong. I am not here to point fingers or state names, but the fact that it is occuring by trusted members of our community leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you are being bullied, or see someone that’s being discriminated against or being disrespected just because of who they belong to or who they are, step up and do something.
Someone disrespecting you? Get a hold of an admin, or someone you trust. We have many different ways of getting a hold of someone. Through in-game chat, teamspeak, steam messages, our Dropbox, as well as Forum PMs, we as a community are here to help. If you are being bullied because of your age, or discriminated against because of who you are, or whatever clan you belong to, Do not be afraid to contact anyone.
Are you witnessing someone being Discriminated against? Don’t just sit there and let it happen, step in. Tell them to knock it off; and for admins, deal with it in a strict manner. We here at eGO welcome everyone with open arms, No matter what. We were all taught at a young age the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Unfortunately, nowadays it seems like that idea is long-gone.
If someone is starting to get under your skin, if they begin to annoy you just because its who they are or how they sound, then either contact someone or remove yourself from the situation. However, just because they are bugging you does not give you the full right to disrespect or bully them.
One of the many reasons I ended up joining eGO is because bullying was rarely ever a thing. I was a 13 year old kid with a squeaky voice my first time on eGO servers, yet I rarely ever got disrespected just because of who I was; and when I did, It got dealt with harshly and quickly. It sickens me to see that sometimes nowadays that isn’t the case anymore.
In Short, Start treating each other with respect. If you see someone acting out of turn by bullying another player, Step in and do something about it. As someone who has been a chronic victim of real-life bullying to the point of hospitalization, I do not take anything of this sort lightly. And Neither should you. Bullying has become a virus that has plagued our servers recently, and it sickens me. Please, if you see it occurring, Don't just sit there twiddling your thumbs. Step in and help deal with the situation at hand.

EDIT: I would like to make some clarifications now that i see this post after a fresh 8 hours of sleep. I didnt just sit back and let it happen by the admins. I isolated them and discussed with them 1-on-1 about what happened, and left it at that. They have since apologized for their act, and id rather end it at that than to publicly shame them. But please, if you do see someone bullying, including admins, tell someone, or anyone, as this is not what eGO stands for.
