Anime What are you currently watching?

[Shini]

Just finished watching season 2 of Ajin.

[Simon]

Finally had time to watch The Boy and the Beast. Loved it, very enjoyable. Not perfect by any means - although I love Hosoda films in general, seemingly.

[_MEGA]

Intended to watch a nice relaxing film before going to sleep, but I got so much more. Maybe I'll make a review for this one. It's called Da Yu Hai Tang. By the title, you can probably guess there is a little bit of Chinese influence in the film.

[Simon]

I'm doing something I don't normally do - I'm picking up some seasonal shows and not being behind 10 years in modern anime

Sword Art Online: Alicization

I suffered through the first two, and movie. Although this one I feel is much more enjoyable and stronger than previous content we've seen (although I did like the movie).

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara

The story concept seems good so far, enjoying the characters. I'll see where it goes!

[Snipeye]

Simon Going to be honest, the books are more interesting than the anime so far. But I agree, SAO this season is SO MUCH BETTER than the Fairy and Gun Gale Arcs. Watching it with my girlfriend and I'm doing my best to not spoil what's going on, or what's happening exactly.

An update on the anime that I am watching now:

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
Goblin Slayer
Sword Art Online (obviously)
Restaurant to Another World (re-watching)
Elegant Yokai Apartment Life (re-watching)
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (re-watching)

In my queue:
Yuuna and the Haunted Springs
We Rent Tsukumogami
Between the Sky and Sea
Hyouka
Megalobox
Hinamatsuri
Granblue Fantasy
Crossing Time

Recently Finished:
Holmes of Kyoto
Harukana Receive

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (Do yourself a favor. Avoid)
She and Her Cat (Damn the ninjas cutting onions)

[The Mast]

I was never really into anime, but I checked out dragon ball Z a while ago. It was actually really good and I'm gonna try to watch it when I can find time.

Raggle fraggle...

*snip*

Not like the first seasons, nor movie, of SAO set the bar very high. Although I will admit it does have some of the charm that was lost after the first 8 or so episodes of the first season which is pretty refreshing. Kirito actually has some decent motivation to do something for once.

In other news, started watching B: The Beginning. Has nothing to do with the K series at all. Enjoyable so far.

I intended to start this one some time ago but never did, got distracted by other stuff. Let me know how it is.

[heidi]

i just rewatched Shimoneta for the 3rd time... no regrets

[Ark]

Watching new season of SAO, trying to finish old seasons of Fairy Tail so I can watch the new season. i'm on episode 176; watched 50 episodes this week after taking a year break oof. Also mixing in Cowboy Bebop when I'm sick of the power of friendship.

Just finished the new season of My Hero Acadamia, Cells at Work, new season of AOT, Angels of Death, and Steins:Gate 0. So im done with the summer animes that I wanted to watch. On to the winter ones!

I'm almost done Bebop as well - it's been my casual show for fun. I love it though. It has aged very well.

A recent one I just watched, despite not being overly sure. I hated the Haruhi Suzumiya series. Thought it was dreadful. I was told if i suffered though, the movie was worth it.

The movie has delivered and I am very pleased. Well told story, good direction, nice art, good music... I was pleased for the entire 2.5 hours.

Wait, you watched the WHOLE Haruhi anime? You did skip the 4-5 episodes of loops from different perspectives right?

[_MEGA]

What I want to know is why did you post the Korean poster?

I watched the original 12 or 13 episode one (2006?)

I didn’t even notice haha. I just searched poster and grabbed he first one with a half decent image size. I’ll have to fix this. Great catch lol

[_MEGA]

There was a second series that also predates the movie that is filled with the infamous "Endless Eight". Which are a series of episodes all portraying the "exact" same events in a loop.

I heard this was definitely worth avoiding.

I heard this was definitely worth avoiding.

So, I'll have to ask my friend for the specifics, but supposedly you can watch like the 1st, 3rd, and 7th (or something like that) of the Endless 8 episodes (in whatever order) to get the gist of what the loop thing is trying to portray.

It is similar to how you can skip all of Neon Genesis Evangelion, just watch End of Evangelion, and end up with the same amount of confusion and anger/sadness.

[Pitman]

The haunting of hill house I highly recommend it

[Ark]

I guess I'm in over my head this season. On top of what my previous post said I'm also watching Goblin Slayer, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Really good btw), Zombieland Saga, and That time I was reincarnated as a slime.
