So, I just saw the thread about every ones least favorite map on jailbreak, and i just want to see what people don't want to play.
I have been playing for over a year and I have a pretty big list so lets just go with it

Lego_jail_2019 - too compact and hard to play
desertstorm - I just don't think the map plays well
Arcade - not a bad map just played too often
Avalanche - again played too often and gets repetitive
Clouds - another map played too often
dust2 - map is small and doesnt play well. Cts need to play toxic to win
Kwejsi - i just dont like playing it
Minecraft beta - played too often
Obama - untextured map and the same game is played every round (climb)
Peanut - CT sided, not fun for rebelling
Quake - played too often
Dojo - played too often and CTs need to be toxic to win
Spy vs spy - map is only good because of the shotgun in vents
Undertale - played too often
Vipinthemix - played too often

if you are wondering that is 15 maps and there is a total of 59 on the server so if you do the math that is about 25% of the maps.

dust2 .... don't get people started with that map

Oh boy, here we go again.

Lego Jail - Unique games are great, but these all manage to suck. And the layout sucks
Dust 2 - Deathcrate and climb. One big cell. Vent system sucks. All the interesting games are too awkward to get to
Undertale - Large, open, costco, map. Firefights aren't supported. Not a fan of in-cell games. The only style of rebelling supporting is either chaos and deathmatch caused by baiting or the rewards from cell minigames
Arcade - Again, not a fan of large open maps and in-cell games.
Avalanche - Only real fault here is the large open, Costco style.
Clouds - Played too often. UMP secret and rebeling in main cells just creates boring deathmatch. Rebeling in the game area sucks because of the lack of cover and presence of AWPs on the CT side. Impossible to get into armoury without knowing secrets
Kwejsi - More deathmatch rebelling. Games are kinda all just meh
Obama - I don't think there's one thing right with this map
Peanut - Games have become boring. Rebeling is actually better, but the map just feels average
Quake - More deathmatch rebelling. The cool secrets are impossible to do without ST
VIP - Lack of interesting games. I think it does rebelling well though
Spy v Spy - Everything is wrong with it. Deathmatch rebelling, boring games. Secrets suck
Dystopian - Too secret heavy. If you don't know the map, the only way you can rebel is through killing baiters or others starting deathmatch rebelling
MC Beta - Boring games and no variation between rounds
MC Party - Boring games. Outdated map.
Moti - Game positioning sucks. Secrets are kinda boring
BigMT - Boring games

obama- just eww, bad textures and games
spvspy- OVERPLAYED
vip- needs surf/ climb
shapeshifters- boatgame. Wardens abuse it cause its a 1/10 chance that you will win it as a t, so its basically a guaranteed ct win

Overplayed is such a bad argument, because a map is overplayed doesn't mean its bad or good, I can understand if you say it's overplayed as it could get repetitive.

Obama was originally created in 2015 that's why it has a few flaws. The map isn't supposed to be played for its games like arcade but more towards rebeling. Don't expect to play with a bunch of cool fun original map games when the maps purpose is just to be played since it was made in 2015 where JB wasn't as popular and there wasn't as good players like there are now.

WaSe WaSe you call every single map boring because it's not like it was on old eGO servers, ct sided and all you do is play games. From maps being too big or being too compact, map games just being "boring" or maps being too secret heavy or maps just having secrets that suck. Please give me something you like.
I can also comment on you're cool map - Layout sucks, too many games, the map hasn't been thought, secrets are ass, and maincells is just poorly done.

Only real map I don't like is spy as the way you rebel is go vent, get shotgun and try kill people, or wait till a ct baits and get gun into stack.

shapeshifters- boatgame. Wardens abuse it cause its a 1/10 chance that you will win it as a t, so its basically a guaranteed ct win
One bad map game, pfft whole map is bad.

when you play for a long time, and during that time you play a lot of maps and most of the time it's one of the ones I just said. I'm not saying the maps are bad (some are) I'm just saying I don't like playing them because I've played them enough to see basically every outcome that the map could have, I've played every game on the maps hundreds of times. I don't want to play the maps anymore because I've already experienced all the map had to offer.

also I said least favorite maps. I didn't mean what maps do u think are bad. I just meant what maps do you not want to play.

Then why continue playing jailbreak? If you don't like playing the maps anymore and you don't enjoy them as youve seen every outcome possible, why continue playing.

Also I know you say least favorite maps. But what others say they basically imply that the map is bad and they don't like it. vvvv

Also people acting as if overcooked is a good map. I like the way obama looks more than overcooked it looks soo bland and just gray, look at arcade, the difference between arcade and overcooked is insane, and the fact that overcooked even got a spot on the top 5 blows my mind.

vip only having games where ts/cts are seen at all times is one of the reasons it is the best maps for rebelling imo

vips more of a old map that just brings back memories I guess, I've seen other servers try and modify it and the completely ruined the map (Distinction Gaming), they added like the dev texture but it was bluee and red which was a vent out by bhop and you had to do a dodgecourse to get to the end and if you failed you died, it completely ruined the map. I don't think adding climb and surf would be a bad idea but you would have to really work on it as it could ruin the feeling of how the entire map is played.

I never said making a perfect map is easy, but settling for average is a bad practice. I also never meant a fault of a map being big or small, rather open vs. covered.

If you want something I do like, I like team rebelling. The greatest kind of fun I've ever had is being in Teamspeak trying to coordinate a rebellion with 5 other people and seeing it work out. I think ideal rebelling is getting out a stack, not finding a way into armoury. Alcatraz does this well as the vent system is complicated and you can find hidden weapons decently easily when you're free, but it is challenging to sneak into armoury without being noticed. This creates a chance for Ts to innovate crunching the CTs and seizing the prison without it turning into a deathmatch

I suppose you are correct that I often reminisce to the old eGO JB server, and I should move on. But, to claim that the maps were CT sided is incorrect. Because of your new account, I'm not sure who you are, but I can take a guess, and assume you did not play the old eGO server. This kind of shows because your claim that they are CT sided just isn't true. (If I'm correct in my assumption I also find it ironic you're commenting for others to stop playing the server). That server and those maps had an emphasis on smart and coordinated rebelling, rather than deathmatch rebelling and minigames.

The large majority of the maps I listed I think are bad, but, again, if perfect is so hard to achieve, it's not worth settling for average. I will admit that I do not like the majority of the maps I listed. I think the large majority of the problems of the server come from the player base, mostly the size. Moving 40 Ts is not an easy task, and I think not one that should be appropriate to reach the highest level of gameplay. And as insulting as it may be, the current JB server is not as sharp as the old one. That comes from being popular.

But, I suppose I listed them and I'm arguing here because I care. If I did not care, I would not be posting, and I would be accepting the average. I care and wish that the server had the highest level and gameplay and enjoyment. I suppose that is also why I have started to take up mapping myself, but that's an argument for another day.

legobels - some of the games are never played
dystopian - little awkward leaving main cells
syntax - cramped outside of cells
mist - awkward main cells
tropico - long armory walkway
minecraft party - awkward main cells and poor atmosphere
autumn - boring and subpar map games
glow - dangerous main cells
paradise - bland design and tedious cell checks
moti - large map
hogwarts - underplayed, so fresh wardens often lead ts to secrets
(kinda stretched some of these)

i continue playing because i have a lot of friends that play on the server and i like the other 75% of the maps. Its not like i am playing by myself I'm usually in Teamspeak talking to people like WaSe WaSe said " The greatest kind of fun I've ever had is being in Teamspeak trying to coordinate a rebellion with 5 other people and seeing it work out. " the game mode is fun and maps are being made often. Maps burn out for me, i remember i used to love playing VIP but now its just repetitive and hard to play. Whenever a new map comes out i like to look for the secrets and try to use them to rebel or have fun, For example Raphi's map Legobels the biggest secret doesn't do anything towards rebelling its just something fun do to and gets a reaction from everyone on the server. Now im not saying i strait up deny playing the maps I would just prefer to play maps that have a little more to give to me than some of the more played maps.

WaSe WaSe

I think that a perfect map would get overplayed and each person has a different opinion on what a perfect map is. If you're making a map you should try aim for something thats better or unique. A map that's big doesn't really need cover, if you take undertale as an example, if you sit by the ramp over by climb you get a good view of stack with an aug/scout/awp and if there's a gun in stack the chances of them killing you are slim as they'll probably waste the map before they kill you.

I do think team rebelling is fun. I've seen it before where 30/40 t's rush the warden at the same time and it works out, it's one of the funnest things I've ever seen on the server. But I've seen it try to be done multiple other times and it just doesn't happen, it just doesn't. I didn't play the old eGO server but I've seen the player base being around 10-25 which in my opinion is very boring. I don't think coordinated rebeling is the best rebeling, it can be fun from time to time but over time it just doesn't get as fun.

I can agree that the problems server come from the players, as CT's bait waay more than they used to. CT's also don't have the IQ and they don't know any secrets so they're ass at pursuing rebelers. As much as I hate to say it Houzekeeping is a good CT as he knows secrets which allows him to find other ways to pursue rebelers and he can become a good ct based on it, he also manages to be more disliked and more toxic than me which is a pure skill.
Also him specing me hard af for obama deathrun secret and then abusing my strat for warday and not doing it properly is kinda cringe lol.

If you know your way around the map you could wipe the entire ct team especially with the exo suit.

This also goes with every single map. If you know your way around vip you can kill 2 ct's from one angle as soon as you get spotted you can switch positions within a few seconds and keep picking them off, keep doing 1v1's instead of 1v9's.

BigMT - Boring games
I don't think I know another map like Bigmt, it has a bunch of secrets and games, the only problem I see with it is that it should be bigger and games more spread out because if you get out of stack there's a limit with which secrets you can do.

Arcade - Again, not a fan of large open maps and in-cell games.
This seems to one of your main complaints. Thorgot's maps tend to have a high ceiling and open areas and is this a gameplay complaint or an aesthetic complaint?

Gameplay If I can think of one map with good to perfect sizing It would probably be Peanut. Space is used and the gameplay isn't blocked by some box or prop. A big crate can be used in maps cells to block vision and add more high spots. I've developed a theory that CTs love being above T's, so in mapmaking you want to have high places for CTs to sit on which then requires a higher ceiling.

Aesthetic I can say that with a higher ceiling you have more consistent lighting and a 'free' feeling mood. A map like Pyrenees uses a high ceiling but without that cartoonish lighting to keep it looking moody but not depressing.

Games are kinda all just meh
Peanut - Games have become boring
Lack of interesting game
boring games
Boring games

The next point I think you make a lot of is Boring Games.

I put Peanut in bold because peanut has most of all general jb games. You have plenty of recall games, plenty of kill games and some luck games and eeven plenty of places for cancer jumps.

Normal/General Games What do you mean by Boring. My scale is

Skill (Climb,Surf) > Controlled Luck (Deathcrate, Color Tower) > Fully Luck (Roulette,Chicken Race). (Maybe i'll make a thread for a full detailed scale).
So personally, if a map has plenty of good skill games the map has good General gameplay. What is general gameplay? Let's say no one rebels, thats general gameplay.

Unique Games Truth is most maps aren't gonna have all these unique games that use vscript. I think everyone enjoys unique games MOST of the time (using my scale again). But you just gotta accept that the general games are gonna be most prevelent on maps.

If you want something I do like, I like team rebelling. The greatest kind of fun I've ever had is being in Teamspeak trying to coordinate a rebellion with 5 other people and seeing it work out. I think ideal rebelling is getting out a stack, not finding a way into armoury.

Finally I'll delve into Secrets.

I'll make another scale and i'll rate from worth and time taken and personally enjoyment.
Short Skill (240 Dust2, in-cell games) > Gunspawns (p250 undertale, ump clouds) > Multi-Step-ST (kwesji, undertale).

I think most players see boring secrets as gunspawns. Yeah sometime it sucks for both teams because its boring gameplay which I can agree on most maps.
Multi-Step-ST are secrets that aren't worth it for the amount of time it takes, these secrets are almost never seen or done for this reason.
Short Skill I think gives players that satisfaction for the high risk high reward chance.

IN-CELL GAMES is your complaints on arcade and undertale. I gotta admit, I get bored af in cells and knowing that the warden is gonna make us wait even longer a bit later makes it doubles the boring. In-cell games are a good secret on those two maps because of the open environment making it harder to run out of stack. This means you have some dopamine flowing and some potentinal secret going at the start of the round. and who doesn't like dopamine (bitches thats who).

Team Rebelling I think most players still do this and it's and is sometimes just done in team chat and most of the playerbase already chills in discords while playing so uhmmmm (nn).

k bye <3

Holy **** this whole thread is a warzone lmao, everyone has their own opinions, relax dude, y'all debating over this too much.

More of a gameplay thing. Lets say, for example, main cells on undertake. There is nothing but the cells to hide behind. The map, through its in cell game rewards, already creates deathmath rebelling, and when there's nothing to hide behind, the quality of your rebelling is determined by the luck of when a member of the enemy looks at you.

Peanut does have most games that are a staple of jailbreak, but they are all just so average. Again, this goes back to my argument of why be average when you can strive for perfect?

Holy **** this whole thread is a warzone lmao, everyone has their own opinions, relax dude, y'all debating over this too much.

I disagree with this. This thread really hasn't been insulting nor offensive for either side. End of the day, we're all having this debate because we care for the server, and each have different views of how it will look in "perfect" form.

I believe it was Plato that argued there's no point in having an opinion if you're not going to share and evolve it. This is really only a healthy thread in my opinion. I know that when I come close to wrapping up, I will look to the other side of this thread for those opinions, and as Mouse finishes his, I'd hope he'd do the same.

Woah, this is really controversial. Kinda weird bowl.
i just wanted to know what maps people dont like. I didnt think someone not liking a map would be a bad thing. I would hope people know that not all maps are good and no map is perfect but i just did not think people would go into so much detail.

Everyone just remember that other people enjoy maps people don't and that every has preferences.
As long as everyone remembers that this is another post asking about what you like and don't.
