Counter-Strike Existing Feature Amend to Jailbreak Rules

During one round, I arguably had suspicion on a terrorist who was rebelling, based on what their fellow terrorist said in the general chat. I was promptly messaged by one of the admins that were online that trusting a t's word is not suspicion enough to pursue a rebel. Surprisingly, I did not receive the same sentiment from a different admin, who simply said it is common knowledge not to believe ts. Ok, fine. What I suggest is an amendment in the jailbreak rules that clearly state something along the lines of "The t's word cannot be fully believed in." I was punished for this crime and I wish this wouldn't happen to others in the future. Thanks!

Stop trying to make every little tiny detail a rule in the rulebook. The more rules there are the harder it becomes to learn as a player / enforce as an admin / teach as an AT.

More rules inevitably leads to more rule lawyering and people complaining that “I didn’t break a rule because there’s not a specific rule against it”.

This is the exact reason why we are supposed to use our discretion on things. There are near infinitesimal ways this could have played out, if we made everything so specific and precise it would essentially just be following rules simulator.

The simpler solution is to just keep going, be more careful to stay in line and have fun. If you think an admin is enforcing rules wrong, there is a different time and place for that stuff too. We are all human, and in most cases, none of us want to get that technical.

I miss the days when I could jump on our TTT and JB servers and I didn't even need to read the rulebook because we all used common sense. The rulebook was also like 10 lines and could be read in 30 seconds.

Seeing these threads continue to reaffirm my disinterest in playing these games, let alone having to sit through admining it.

While I agree with 4gotten on the need for a small number of rules, I think this is one that should be addressed. This is something that people are often swapped for/not swapped for. To me it has always been you can't, and I thought that was in the rules but it is not. There should be a solid answer to this question due to how often it happens. Generally speaking, no one takes T's words as Sus to pursue, but apparently, there are some that do. However, I can think of times where this does happen. For example, let's say you got a T talking directly to the warden asking for a pardon, and the warden asks,

"Where are you"
"I'm in LR Room"
"Ct's pursue him"

This happens all the time and never is swapped for. However, a T typing in chat saying "I'm in armory", proceeded by a CT pursuing him in the armory, is generally swapped for. I think a specific stance on this subject should be made.

You all are really swapping a CT for searching a location that a missing T said they, themself were in? There's no way this has actually happened and if it has then the ATs need to retrain that admin lmao. Common sense people, please.

I'm assuming you don't play on the JB server often. Yes, this happens more than one would hope/think. There's a lot of nit-picky CTs who do and try to get away with quite literally anything possible "because it's not in the rules."

General Guidelines

• Do not give any information regarding an active round to alive players while dead or players on the opposite team.

Definitions of common terms

Special Treatment (ST) - A warden can grant Prisoners ST in exchange for contraband, blood-hounding (cannot blood-hound without reward), or by earning it in a game. ST can be any form of special treatment the warden permits (i.e choosing next game, freeday).

FAQ #26) Can warden offer a T to bloodhound without a reward?
No, this is griefing your teammate. You can only bloodhound if warden offers a reward (ST).

On a similar note, "Metagaming" isn't allowed on our servers and would fall under the code of conduct:

TL;DR?
No one likes a snitch. The T's shouldn't be snitching on their teammates unless Warden offers a reward (ST) in exchange for a bloodhound.
