Current time before bank truck c4 blows up is too long, impossible to get it done when cops show up before the bomb blows up. Pretty much impossible to do one as it takes so long and cops will show up before the doors even blow up. Considering you get like 500-1100? $ most of the time i dont think it should be this hard. basically forces you to have a shootout to be able to have a chance at hitting the truck, even though the reward is really not much at all.

Another option would be to allow us to open the doors of the bank truck again.

Another option is to add locations across the state, not just in the city.

So this is a complicated one. Crime should pay, but getting caught committing said crime should have consequences.

Having the goal in mind of increasing roleplay, I personally feel we should have more of a focus around investigations rather than common shootouts and pursuits.

I think personally a bank heist should result in a pursuit. I think a bank truck job should result in investigation. Other smaller crimes such as drug running and car theft should be about proactive policing.

So having this focus in mind. It would make sense to be able to hit a bank truck quick if you have the skillset/numbers to take out the guards. Second to this, there is now evidence left behind. Bullet casings, potential blood found on scene. (I don't know how fingerprints work yet so can't speak on that.)

The focus of bank truck robberies should be investigation. Since they are such a common occurrence, it would be fairly simple to build a case on a suspect over a series of bank robberies if they are not a part of a well thought out team that handles evidence disposal and so on. These are the jobs that should end you up in prison if you try to hit them alone and leave evidence on scene.

Bank heists are about clean getaways. This is where it should be focused around negotiations and high speed pursuits.

Smaller crimes such as drug running and car theft amongst other petty crimes should be about officers spreading their forces to differentiating patrol areas and proactively policing them.

In a nut shell, I think if we aim forward with this mindset, it will create more roleplay opportunities for both the police and the civilians. Evidence leads to investigation roleplay, bank heists lead to pursuit roleplay. Smaller crimes lead to community policing roleplay. All of these jobs have their equivalent civilian roleplay.

In turn, yes, I think the bank truck should be quick to hit. It shouldn't be about catching them in the act unless you happened to be in the area which means the criminals didn't plan well and didn't scope the area or create a proper distraction. It should be about the investigation that ensues.

IN FACT, I would go so far as to say that aside from the shots fired call, the bank truck robbery in progress notification shouldn't occur until the doors are actually blown off.

BUT, this change should only occur once the police evidence system is working entirely properly.

The issue I see with this is, the time was made so the PD can have a good enough time to respond and still get RP. So making it where the call comes out when the door blows, gives civs 10 seconds to grab the loot and leave meaning cops have 10 seconds to respond.

So basically you get a free what $1,000 when you hit a truck with no chance of cop interaction. You also stated that this should only happen if the police got a better evidence system. I'm guessing when you say this you mean a gunshot leaves a serial number instead of a name. This is still a little unfair because of the fact that again this leaves no interaction with the civs to the PD. and it's a free $1000 again for no chance, basically all reward no risk.

I saw that in your original post you said that you think an investigation would lead to more RP, but the issue is yes it will. it will give RP from cop to cop. But as for the PD getting RP from civs is where it's lacking. Also, you said that these "bank truck heists" should result in pursuits instead of a shootout, but then again you shot and killed 3 people and robbed a truck so it would make sense to end in a shootout. And to an extent, I think this is true they should be more of pursuits, but also we have to keep in caution that whoever robbed the bank truck is armed so I mean it would make sense for the PD to be ready with a weapon.

Now also if I am completely wrong and read the entire thing incorrectly let me know and I can see if I change my mind.

I am unsure of how long the doors currently take but - the longer the time the more chance you have to rp with the cops, instead of the trucks being an easy cash grab with a 10 second timer.

With the evidence timer thing - I dont want to get to every scene and hold right click with my flashlight all day - I'd like to interact with the criminals.

Cops still get a call for shots fired though, they should respond to that always instead of shrugging it off but always going max speed to all bank truck robberies. As it is now the risk is 800(pistol) + 2500 (fine) + 2500x however many cops that show up
While the reward is a measly 500- probably 1500? Most I’ve gotten after 4 is 1100.
Anyway, if I’m doing this, and police show up while I’m waiting for the bomb to explode I will have to shoot them ALL then go through with the 10-15s grabbing animation. This easily puts the risk up to 10k+ in fines (Per person, it once again wouldn’t be smart to do this alone, atleast 1-2 others) so the risk is soo much more than the reward.

rp interactions when doing stuff like this are extremely ehh, you don’t shoot 3 people and place a bomb on an armored money truck then go talk to the cops, they will hold you at gunpoint 99% of the time which means you p much always get arrested when doing that. Nobody pulls up to a armed truck robbery with 3 confirmed deaths just to talk, there is very little possibility for explanation, more likely just getting instantly tazed or shot. It resulting in chases makes sense.

Takes like a minute or some

the only rp that will happen while a bank truck is being blowup right behind you is a cop detaining someone at gun point.

currently is almost forces shootouts, as you’re also stuck in a 10?-15 second animation when grabbing the 500-1100$ in the truck. Shootouts wouldn’t be all that horrible if you didn’t get 10k in fines for shooting at 4 cops, for a once again 500-1100$ reward.

Roll with some buddies, have them aim guns at the cops and negotiate that they let you rob the truck, make an exchange. Maybe realise that its too late, and drop the money, let the cops take it then drive off. There are countless possibilities in roleplay. Your only complaints are about money, lets make some quality roleplay for the server to enjoy. The world is your oyster.

I wouldn't have to worry about money if the economy wasn't hardcore and the fines are equal to 5 hours per person minimum of mindlessly grinding, but that's how it is. (I'm not complaining about the economy, but when the economy is hardcore, and fines are very extreme, you can't expect me to not worry about money) Risk/Reward is a big thing.

to get sm1 held at gunpoint they'd need to be standing almost still in their car or be out of it, most of the time when I've seen money trucks being done the cops have driven straight up to the back of the truck. if you'd attempt taking one at gunpoint while they were driving up to it they'd most likely try speeding up or something like that to avoid it.

I personally don't think the heavy hitter stuff should be about police vs civ RP up front. It should be more focused around investigative roleplay. You get the eventual investigation interaction when you get all your evidence in a basket and put your case together, then you get your warrant for questioning, you pull suspects in, you interrogate, match up stories, check allaby's and make your case. Police RP isn't really about interacting with Civs in the same way Civ RP is. Civs interact with Civs like Police interact with Police.

When cops go off duty is when the more active civ rp should be interactive.

Alternate concept.

Give the bank trucks a once a day cooldown, boost the profit, make us plan the job out properly.

The timer on the C4 is 30 seconds.

The reward parameter is 500-1500 with other items that increase it over 2000$ if you're lucky.

The timer exists so that cops actually have a chance to arrive. It doesn't serve any purpose to lower the timer.

Cops having a chance to arrive and arriving before the c4 has blown up every single time is not the same.

What was old timer from beta? Could try dropping by 5 seconds until people stop complaining

See where the cops are actively patrolling and try and divert them away before going for a yolo robbery.

thing needs 5 cops tho, you can be max be 4, all bank truck locations are in the city, so even if you distract 3 of them there will still be 2 left most likely patrolling in the city which means theyll get there very quickly

Double distract them. Sucker 4 into a pursuit with the bait, and then throw your cat into a tree and make a call or something to pull the 5th away.

Rekty Rekty Would you say this is still an issue worth being looked into?

Sorry its been a while :censored:
