A question TO YOU regarding Hurricanes

1. - It is a basic foundation you build off of, if you cant further it from there then it is a fault of your own. My gang and myself were all over the mines for a solid week and another solid week on trucking app.

2. - Gotta spend money to make money this part idk what to say.

3. - It is a basic foundation you build off of, if you cant further it from there then it is a fault of your own. My gang and myself were all over the mines for a solid week and another solid week on trucking app.

4. - This I agree with, there is a discussion to be had about what vehicles you boost etc and will be brought up on the development side.

5. - soontm sadly but I agree

6. - I dont know who this applies to
"my gang and myself"

i am not a gang i am one man

You are explaining that you grinded for a solid week, this does not sound entertaining to me

It was more entertaining to have to build up then to come into a city and its on EZ mode. And when I say a solid week I dont mean 24/7 every day. Just a casual couple hours a day. And thats more than enough to get something to build off of. Or buy equipment to do bigger things on the crim side. Or invest in trucks on the civ side. Thats enough time to build up money on a downpayment for a house if they wanted. Or a good b class car. People who say money cant be made are giving off the impression that they fly into the city for an hour a day and want to be handed everything.

I have a life. I have stuff to do. I do not want to come home from college to spend my entire day, or even half of it driving a truck up and down the high way thankyou very much

Except you didn't read what I said, you literally dont have to do that except people insist on continually exaggerating it. And for what you do have to work for it isn't long term. You dont see someone start mining and then still only being mining as if their character didn't have ANY opportunities to progress. I am glad you want to imply people are lifeless. However just like you I have a life a job go to school and lots of time for stock related research yet still I was able to come into the city and work my way up just like the people before me and just like the people after me.

Okay, I have a question for you.

I am a new player who joins the server, I ask someone how to make money and they say
"go do trucking"
"go do hunting"
"go do mining"
etc

Why would I stick around?
I was basically in this situation a few weeks ago, and still haven't gotten out, and honestly dont care to at this point

I understand your point and as someone with a lot more current server knowledge than me I am sure you're right, however I played for a few weeks not long ago and not a single opportunity came up to me, other than being told to go diving, which was not exciting.

When new players ask me about money I present them multiple choices but I almost always try and offer them a job at a actual business too. But not everyone is interested in that so what else do I tell them? I tell them the hobbies/activities that make money that aren't full on jobs. These things arent meant to define your character nor should it. But also let me ask you this what do you as a player need money for so bad? What goal are you deeming impossible right now for your character? Trying to get a car? If you couldn't get a car in 3 weeks from doing anything in the city that offers money up. I am sorry but you are flat out doing something wrong or just be FAR lazier than you are leading off with. Any sorts of things that I can think of that a player needs are literally obtainable in one day with a few hours of work, even a house downpayment if you work an extra day.

Why does anyone stick around in a roleplay server? To roleplay. Things like economy doesn't define that in the slightest and all the talks regarding this I think are being oblivious to one of the big problems in the server as it stands now. The quality of roleplay isn't there. And when the quality degrades so does the playerbase cause they aren't getting roleplay on a roleplay server. I am not opposed to the idea of open server etc etc but do I personally think it will raise the current quality bar? Not really

I'm lazy because I don't want to do an in game "hobby" for hours?

I hate to break it to you but half the people on an economy roleplay server are there for the roleplay, and the other half for the economy, that's just the way it is.

As a cop, my goal is to get good RP and provide anyone I interact with, with the best possible outcome to the scenario they have CREATED FOR ME to be apart of, as a crim my goal is to make money, whilst providing the cops with good RP.

I deeply apologise for being too lazy to hunt and dive for hours.

To add to your point about quality of roleplay not being there, I personally believe this to be because of grinders, this isn't necessarily their fault, nor are they in the wrong. I also very much like the idea of an open server at certain points of the week, whether this be weekdays or weekends, but with this it is likely that the quality of roleplay will only decline further

4. Money laundering (idk how it works but it should give you more)

I'm against this from a practicality standpoint. $1 does not equal $2.

If your response to having to do a few hours of work for something you like is that you dont wanna do it then yes that is laziness. Some people dont like roleplaying Zimbabwe dollars either. I want their to be a reward for work almost like there is in real life and given this is a roleplay server that is mimicking a second life I dont see why that is too much to ask for.

If you want to take the lazy part of what I said personally then feel free however it isn't directed at you on a personal level. Because you still have yet to tell me what you are struggling to buy with this money that is "hard" to get. But what I said still applies, want a car? go work for it you can get a car in a day if its as simple as getting a car and not a sports car (why should you have to get the best right away) Want a house? You can very very very easily obtain the money for a downpayment (25% of total price of a house) for a comfortable home in 2 days of work at a couple hours a day. And that isn't buying a literal shack. You could get a forum/grove house with that time.

And to speak on that last part again I think you are dead wrong. I dont think grinders is the reason and that would be hilarious to assume so. Simply put a majority of people dont know how to roleplay hence the level of quality shows. Anyone who did know how to roleplay has bounced ships more than likely at this point. You cant say grinders are killing our server that would be a very ignorant and shallow attempt at pointing a finger. Grinders are actually what has held up certain parts of the city up to now. They are a necessity to certain aspects.

Hopefully going to make this event happen, the numbers are changing 1000% though.

Sounds intriguing, especially once you get a good value set for your numbers. I won’t be able to partake in these events, however still a cool idea.

Events team is working on trying to be as accommodating as possible! We want everyone to be able to participate
