As the title suggests, Currently when you give a message on a Players Profile, it doesn't add up to the total messages within the Stat on the Forums.
The reason I have brought up this suggestion is a very simple reason. I'll give an example: EdgeGamers currently has 999 messages, and decides to reach the goal 1k! so he wants to mark it via Profile so it could serve as some what of a bookmark that THAT message hit him to a thousand!
- A bunch I believe have tried doing this ^ to no avail and decide to put the message else where or to keep it via a thread.
Before you guys continue on with possible reasons on why this wouldn't be as beneficial, I'll go ahead and note the possible cons and answer possible solutions.
You may be wondering how we are gonna solve the problem of people spamming a profile for let's say stat points. If per say we were to let this happen, a new rule has to be implemented as spamming a profile for stat point DOESN'T violate any Forum Posting Expectation. And I believe if we were to go into this w/o a new rule implemented within the forums, I guess if a person spammed a profile, it would be considered within the Leadership Discretion category whereas a Leadership Member will determine whether or not a profile spam / post is relevant or is simply spam trolling / spamming advertisements and much more..
I believe as though this would be a great add but could be used in a different manner if you let it. I myself have thought of a way if implemented i could probably climb up the ladders of the profile post stat board with a classified method since this method I'm talking about DOESN'T break any rule violations. Leadership be my guest to dm me and ask about the Method as though if you are gonna implement this sort of change, you need to make sure its bulletproof! By implementing new rules to combat i myself a forum fanatic ghandi and some others who see the opportunity!
