New Website Discussion

it would be nice to have the forum shortcut on the top on the very left side. i run my browser in a somewhat small window so i dont like scrolling >.< thats just my 2cents. overall website look great!

I love the new site, the template maybe a little less professional looking but i love the navigation on top and those new icons that tell u if there's a new post or not :D
 
Stupidly voted "no" by mistake, twas an accident. I should never try answering polls really late at night. I do like the website as is.
 
Well, I voted "no." Then received a pm saying to explain why. I'm not very good at explaining things, hence why I never replied with why. It feels really cluttered to me (the homepage mostly), too much going on. Feels a lot like the fpsbanana site, I feel like what I'm looking at is a tiny room with too much furniture. I don't use a very large resolution, mostly my monitor is too old for my vid card.

Before, with the grayish background, everything fit together well. Once the blue was implemented, the "boxes" seem like they're closing in on me. I guess the feeling I'd describe would be choked? I don't know if that's a good way to describe it.

I know I don't have to tell ya'll that the color scheme of a website has a dramatic effect on it's "feel" to the visitors of the site. So, the light colored "boxes" seem larger on a darker background. This in turn makes the the general "feel" seem cramped (to me).

There Garden, I tried my best to explain. Sorry if it's hard to understand.

I like the tabs and the new out line

the things i dont like

too boxy

needs more color but i understand you trying to be professional so this one
is just my personal taste


screen is very busy meaning to many things on the screen at once

welp otherwise then those things i love the new site^-^
 
Hehe just noticed that at the bottom right of page there is a sweet tank. :)

WWII theme I guess. :cool:
 
I Think its a bit dull, i think that you shaould have different pages for houses with house colours as the background, and maybe a little bit of flash up and going, that my opinion guys,, thanks!!!
 
The problem that I have with the new web site is that when you get to the home page and go the general forum. I cant tell what group is talking about that sometimes I'm replying about DOD and the people are TF2 or CS. also some of these people are finding their way to the DoD section and posting things about CS or TF2. I liked it better when I went to the DOD website and everyone was on the same page.I like the new background and the new things that your doing to spruce it up but it's just Plain! I guess that no vote is secret as that I got a message to reply because I said that I didn't like the website. I good thing to know BIG BROTHER!!!:(

How in the world are we going to be albe to make people happy without feedback?

You vote no and don't say what needs to be fixed.. . . Its like the guy that complains but doesn't give reasons to why he is complaining. Its kind of pointless. We wont know what the consumer wants with out knowing feedback. I don't think its that hard to write out what you want to see on the website to make it better. Is that to much of us to ask? I mean come on. . . . . . .

Its pretty good but it took me a while to find my way through everything, now I would say I like it a lot now. Keep up the good work.

Didn't mean to have an attitude when I posted. :eek: Just I have posted on why I didn't like the site before I'll find it and put the link here. Once again sorry for the attitude.

Do we have any control over the search function? Say, allowing us to search for words that are three characters, instead of just 4. Also, maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but the standard search engine options don't seem to work very well, like using quotes for a phrase, or the + or - signs to include, discard results. Is it just me?
