Cooking a grenade, hazards and benefits!

I wish when you pull the pin from a grenade that you could still be able to sprint so that it would be easier to do a suicide run with the cooked nades...

I want a tank dammit!!!

Maybe for something to drive around in at Walmart, but in game HEELLLL no!!

I think that vehicles would make INS so damn lame that the lameness would lame everyone out and make them say "Oh my, this is lame!":angry:

Well, I'm pretty sure you can sprint with a cooked nade. If you pull the pin it'll only explode when it hits something, i'm pretty sure that's the same with real grenades too. If you use the handle, it's timed, so you CAN do a suicide run, and I HAVE done that!

It's great, I did it on .. what's that map called where, to get to B, you have to fight through a mosque that the INS always have totally locked down?

Either way, cooking a grenade is probably nothing but good, unless you're chucking it across the country.

Umm...:mellow: I don't think you can run/sprint once you pull the pin, to cook or to just throw... cause I have tried holding shift once I pulled the pin from a nade and I just walk :(
Oh and that map is called Almaden... Where A's cap point is by a Humvee?
B's cap point is on a balcony, then C and D are in this big area kind of close to each other?

Anthem,
Can't sprint with a cooked nade, it's a code bug.
Grenades don't explode when they hit something, unless you mean the m203.
The map you're speaking of is Almaden.

Something happened yesterday that made me think of this thread. I was sitting in sniper's nest across from B in almaden. Shooting from the table into mosque. I hear gunfire behind me and I turn around to see a comrade get mowed down. I ready for a marine to rush into door, ironsight up. A marine does a quick peek and I fire a couple round to his face, he falls. Another marine comes barreling in after him and my pride and joy ak does that ever lovely death sound, "CLICK"... damn. The marine tries to do a suicide-bomber move and fires a m203 round at me, I hear it bounce around room making this sound, "fail fail fail" as it falls to the ground, giving me enough time to pull out my pistol and pop two in him.

Let this to be a lesson to marines, don't try to impersonate our techniques. Or atleast study what the mechanics are of your so said "hail marry grenade" and know that it takes a second for your grenade to arm, don't rush a room with it.

Hahah... I've had that happen to me, someone shot at me and it just bounced right by me... so I ran straight at him as he tried to scramble away and shot him down. :glare: :(
~See I don't know how people do the weapon switch in that situation, I always try and just reload my rifle instead of switching to pistol... of course 50% of the time it fails me because the other person seems to always reload faster than me.
When I do try to switch to my pistol, because I run out of ammo I use my mouse wheel to switch most of the time... is that what I'm doing wrong?

I pistol switch very often. After 2-3 kills when i feel that i'm low on ammo i'll pull out my pistol until friendlies back me up or i know that the area is clear. And i use the quick switch key instead of the mouse wheel.

Mhmm... Mhmmm....

The quick switch key is just like 1-5 or however you have your keys bound?

Yup, mouse wheel is fail-nade. Just remember 3 isn't bound to a weapon, the nades start at 4. Also, if your rifle is completely empty it takes longer to reload than if it's not. At least, that's what the game says.

umm.. I don't know about that... maybe for the insurgent bolt sniper rifle, but it all seems to be the same reloading time on the clipped guns. I'm not sure though, anyways thanks for the info... :w00t::laugh::)

Mouse 3 button for me is my vent mic switch. So sometimes when i use the command, i accidentally engage my mic in vent, aha, "die dammit die...wait"

No, seriously, that's one of the little hints they have on their loading screens. It says "reloading always takes a little bit longer when your clip is empty." Or something to that effect.

Lol that would be awkward if you were like trying to switch weapons and were singing along to a Ellton John song, but instead of switching weapons you press the Vent key... ahahahaaa:w00t::laugh: If that were to ever happen and I was to be in vent at that very moment I think I would cry from laughing so hard...

Yeah I know I have seen it too but I don't think that it really matters...
Bleh... I don't know but there is only one way to find out. :)

Do this. Fire half a clip, reload. Notice, he just puts the clip in. There is one in the chamber, so he can just fire.

Fire a full clip, reload, Notice he puts the clip in, and then manualy has to put the first round in the chamber.

Thats the extra time.

Well that makes complete sense... :P
Wow, I would have figured that one out eventually, but it would probably put me in quite a *ponder*
Thanks Capy

Yea, 1-4 are your default quick switch keys. But i have my mouse wheel up as my main weapon and mouse wheel down as my pistol, a lot easier than scrambling to hit the 2 key when you hear that !click sound and getting shot at.
