ok, i was thinking today, and yes as crazy a thought it is of me thinking, it is true, i was in fact thinking....

Medics in real life always have a nurse, am i right? have you ever gone to the doctors office and not seen at least 2 nurses? shouldnt the medic have a nurse as well?

I know what you mean but I don't think combat medics have nurses :)

Pretending for a second this happened... what role would the nurse fill?

And a tad realistic here.. who would want to play the support class to the support class? hehe

I've always found the fact that the medic has no nurse to be the most unrealistic aspect of the game.

Hmmm...

  1. Eating a sandwich to put out a fire?
  2. A spy being invisible?
  3. A soldier shooting a rocket at his feet to jump higher?
  4. A medic healing people by pointing a gun at them?
Eh... I won't go on. :)

  1. A delicious COLD sandvich is not only filling, but it cools the heavy down to the point where he is not combustible. Totally realistic. You need two things for fire to happen: temperature, and fuel. Take the temperature away, and you have no fire.
  2. Spies aren't invisible in real life? Have YOU ever seen a spy in real life? Of course not, BECAUSE THEY'RE INVISIBLE!
  3. I'm sorry, but try detonating some explosives under your feet* and see if you don't go flying into the air. It's not the soldier's fault because he's heartier than you and wouldn't explode into a million pieces like you would. You're just a low HP class IRL and can't handle it.
  4. My doctors heal me with syringes, something the TF2 Medic uses for harm. So, it stands to reason that a gun, something normally used for harm, is used by the TF2 medic to heal.

Gentlemen, I rest my case. Now where's my nurse?

* Don't actually try this.

Realism and TF2 in the same post. By the seven mad gods that rule the sea, that is amusing.

Medics already have nurses. Lazy nurses that won't go help people, they make people come to them for healing. Nurses that are short and fat and none too pretty. The name of these nurses?

Dispensers.

They will heal their Doctor and make sure he stays alive to heal the heavy :)

also on the aspect of realism.

Teleporters.
Fake dying watches.
Throwing pee jars (I mean, how socially unacceptable can you be?)
Bases built right next to each other.
Intelligence on a desk in the open, not in an air tight safe.
Bomb carts.
Colour coordinated clothes, I mean who'd do that?
Ubercharge, invincible.

I can go on :)

You are just begging for S3rvo to come in here again and prove you wrong...aren't you? :P

Teleporters: How is it my insurance company can have a piece of paper in their office, then they put it in a machine, it makes some noises and phone dial-y sounds, then poof, it prints out my fax machine? "That's faxing!" you say...NO! It's teleportation!

Fake dying watches: Pff, I can feign death without a watch. Here, observe:

...had you going there didn't I? So the fact that the spy needs a watch to do it is an example of LOWER technology in TF2, not higher.

Throwing pee in jars: Ever been a long road trip when you were little, and your dad just stopped to let your sister pee, but now you have to? He said "Go in your soda bottle, we're not stopping again!" and then I said "But dad it's an emergency!" and he said "Well, s3rv0 (yeah, my dad called me by my screen name, doesn't yours?), either do it or hold it, it's up to you, we're not stopping." So I did it, and threw it out the window. I don't see how Jarate is any different.

Building bases close together: Hey, define base! My neighbor's base is right next to mine. "That's his house!" you say, but he spawns there every morning, goes out and accomplishes whatever objectives he has, then returns to resupply and heal up. Sounds like a base to me!

Intelligence out in the open: If we keep stuff locked up where it can't be gotten at all the time, how are we to use it? It has to be taken out sometimes, like in times of war, when it can be used for a significant purpose. Since RED and BLU are obviously at war, isn't this a good time to have the intel out and ready to be used?

Bomb carts: http://www.martecleasing.com/sales/

Same colored clothing: They're called uniforms. Every national army in the free world has 'em.

Ubercharge invincibility: We all know Chuck Norris is invincible. Don't you dare say he isn't, or he'll appear behind you and roundhouse kick you into oblivion. Why is he invincible? 'cause he's a medic, that's why. He is always ubering himself, and his uber never drains, and he doesn't need a medigun. Real life invincibility.

What else you got for me?
