I'm impressed Leader Bean, you really know your stuff.

:thumbup:Office, Cap point C ....
i dont know if that happens in office, i was talking about allbah capping A. i would have won the round for my team i was in the corner looking into the back way in, (under all the tables) someone came in and not a single shot hit him....lol.....:facewall::cursing::crying::glare:

22nd rankYeah, you guys have pinned down most problems with the game, but there are some issues that irk me. For instance, the shotgun: Many times I have gotten point-blank headshots, only to find that my target is perfectly fine.
Another weird thing that I've noticed (maybe their isolated incidents?): Prone, deployed MGs are resistant to explosions, as close as directly beside their head. Has this happened to anyone else?
The RPG should have a fire cone, instead of a straight flight. It would have to be a small fire cone, otherwise it would lose almost all worth, but it should still lose accuracy over the distances that many people are taking issue with. Another possibility would be to have drag or some other destabilization that happens after, say, 2 seconds of flight.
Also, is it just me, but are certain object bullet issues (like around cars), has anyone else seen 1-way barriers like that? Like, someone behind something can't shoot around it, but someone can shoot at them and hit them with no problem?
:mellow:The one way windows are also in our office map, I think office2? It's right at the b cap point. While technically not completely one way, I'd say they are about 75% one way in favour of INS, meaning marines take more damage than the ins behind it if shooting damage is equal. It is messed up.

I've also actually heard that there might not even be Beta3 coming out til maybe a couple of years, if that. I don't know I just heard that from a pub, so you never know...
Lol good comments guys! I think a list of the upcoming improvements is available on our forums or on the dev site. I think they were updating the engine to Orange box and a whole list of improvements to the game after that.
Giving the squad leader some kind of support, whether it be a limited number of heli gunships or artillery strikes might upgrade the gameplay assuming, that they don't get overused. As well, maybe urban maps would not allow for arty or gunships due to collateral damage, and the marines might get a couple of stationary tanks to cover the roads vulnerable to RPGs?
Civilians sounds like a good idea, especially if the INS gets to deploy 1 min before the marines to blend in with the population. As well, wouldn't it make sense that the INS were usually on the defending side and could capitalize on defensive positions, ambushes, mines, etc. that will be in the new insurgency release? I know that there are plenty of fights in Afghanistan and Iraq that saw the Coalition forces defending, but that could always be addressed easily too. I think making the INS much more sneaky would improve the gameplay quite a bit.
A new map placing the marines on the defense is due for release very soon. ins_karwam
Nobody seems to have taken notice to this...it's what i've been quoting from.

I concur. Nothing is more frustrating than getting that perfect headshot only to see them run away. Personally, I know people like lots of different weapons, but this isn't counterstrike. I like the realism and kit loadouts. If anything, There should be more variety within the classes that is still realistic (e.g. engineer class I know FOR A FACT, the U.S. Marines use more shotguns than that god awful xm107). Using the G3 when the marines haven't even been issued it is kinda stretching it. If anything the marine snipers are famous for using the .50 cal sniper rifles before anyone else and we're using m14s? The training rifle? I think if the developers paid a little more attention to detail in typical kit load outs, then we would have the broad range of weapons and still have realistic loadouts.
Well with the .50 cal sniper rifle they would also need to modify the affect wound on the enemy since the .50 cal will blow off a gosh darn arm... I agree with you on most of what you said, but implementing the .50 cal would be unrealistic in these types of (small range) maps also with a .50 cal rifle there is usually a spotter tagging along with the person. So should they make a class "spotter" and him carry what? A small arm and a pair of binoculars...Sorry if this comes across as sarcastic that's not what I'm intending to do. More variety of weapons would really be nice even if they aren't completely realistic, I love your enthusiasm though.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I haven't seen any issues with full-auto fire that breaks gameplay, and maybe beside tweaking bullet paths or firing cones, it's as good as it will probably get.Why does everyone want to make the ak47 more inaccurate? IT IS ACCURATE UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST 3 shots. This is an industry known standard of the ak or ANY OTHER HANDHELD RIFLE IN EXISTENCE. So if ak goes full auto it should be as innacurate as much as any other gun WHEN FIRED FULL AUTO. The same mechanisms used in the ak are used in the ak74, the ak series of sniper weapons, hell, many of the soviet guns due to the state adoption of ak-based weapons to ease commonality of parts through the cold war. Even the dragunov uses the ak firing mechanism. So to say the ak, SHOULD be inaccurate is bs in my opinion. Only on full auto should it be inaccurate.
The M4, on the other hand, is much lighter than many full rifles. Carbines are incredibly inaccurate on full auto due to their lightness, that's why they chamber for smaller rounds like 5.56mm instead of the 7.62mm of the ak. Heavier guns typically have less recoil (granted the ak is known for recoil, but soldiers are trained to compensate for it, and children can use it due to it's simplicity, mobility, and accuracy)
Basically, any hand held weapons, fired on single shot should be accurate by design, thats why guns have sights, barrels are rifled, bullets are cone shaped, etc. ANY handheld weapon when fired on full auto or too quickly will become increasingly inaccurate if it isn't mounted or using a bipod/tripod. Firing from the hip is when you fire a rifle at full auto. Or prone. So don't expect miracles and massive adjustments to guns when the the reason for their accuracy is based on the a) firing position of the user b) firing mode and c)skill. The rifle is fine.
Does the game give each weapon a different standard of single shot accuracy? I haven't noticed any issues, only the crappy sights on the m16. Wtf is with that by the way? Does this game have issues with rifles when fired on full auto?
