Well, it can crit now, and the Medic apparently heals fast enough to negate the residual flame damage, PLUS it only drains your health while it's out.

Seems reasonable, don't you think?

Oh i didnt notice that that is reasonable! :D
Awesome, i like the new changes now.

OK...

Pre-Patch: Medics used to regen at 1-3hps/sec.
Post-Patch: Medics regen at 3-6hps/sec

Unless they're using the blutsauger, which lowers regen back to 1-3hps/sec.

End result: Medics regen faster sometimes and now the blutsauger crits.

Ah, I get it. Yay buff.

Engine

Blutsauger

Replaced "No critical hits" negative attribute with "-2 health drained per second on wearer"

Fixed Spies speaking their response rules lines after killing a player as the class they were disguised as

Fixed being able to fire the Huntsman under water if you jump into the water with the arrow charged

These, I do not like. The others are okay.

Proof that Valve loves Woodstock. :) :) :) :)

The regen rate change is EPIC. So is the part about spies and medic bubbles.

And oh, the crit blut thing, not a big deal. It did glitch sometimes and crit anyways. :P

Did I say I was happy???.....

About the Heavy

I love the idea of the tossable sandvich. Chuck out a sandvich, run over it, instant health.

About the Medic
I like the blutsauger change, but I'm a little back and forth about it. The medic is pretty powerful, and now he gets crits.... ehhhhhh :glare: :(

Realize that the medic isn't as powerful as most other classes as combat, crits or no crits, and was very non-played as there are very few people who can be a medic and be able to use him in combat effectively. Of course, seasoned combat medics are going to love this update, but it's not like you're overpowering the medic, who will still most likely lose to most classes, if he's up against a similar skill opponent.

As a medic your best approach is to keep this in mind; Your primary weapons are your teammates.

The health drain bothers me muchly. There was no need to change the weapon, and the health it gave for hits saved me more then once.

the blutsauger doesnt actually drain your life. It basically halves your newly buffed regen rate

Rocket radius change: 121->146

End result of above: Explosives have had their radius reduced at some angles, and increased at others. Radius is now consistent, angles are now irrelevant

Oh, so now when i air shot a scout with a crit rocket he will actually DIE now?

I tested the Sandvitch out earlier on an empty server. I think it may be a *tad* overpowered honestly. When I play heavy and usually pack a shotgun but now there's no way you'll see me without the Sandvitch. It now heals for 100% health (if you eat via taunt/mouse 1) or 50% if you simply drop it and pick it back up.

Spawn camping heavies at Black Mesa don't even need to have a medic at this rate. They can do their damage, run away and mouse 2 eat the sandvitch and get 150HP right away. That's the same as a medium health kit. I know the Sandvitch was meant to make the Heavy less medic-dependent but this teeters on making him a fortress by himself. Though throwing the sandvitch is a huge credit to the team and to his medic.

The Medic regen update is actually pretty welcome to me. It makes the medic much more durable when he uses the needlegun. The "change' to the Blutsauger is only a change in wording, there is no change to how you would have played the class anyway. You still gain the same amount of health per second and still get +3 on hits, but now you can random crit. I'd like to see a change with the bonesaw though. Maybe a health or speed bonus. The Ubersaw does look mighty heavy =D

When we first heard about this, it sounded like the medic was gonna get completely screwed.
But it turns out, they made a really good improvement.

Everyones happy, hurrah!

Now people who go "GIMME SOME SANDVICH LAWL" really will get some Sandvich.

All around nice update.

You Guys Are Missing The Most Important Effect Of The Update
