FIRST - Mandatory Meetings - Discussing new policies for fortifying the spirit of eGO. When people notice something thats not
Going so well in the community, Have a meeting and discuss it. This will refrain from you getting
Messages like this from me and will be taken care of quickly. If this was my oganisation, I would
have meetings a lot more with the Counsil and Advisors and Division Leaders. Just so These people
"That KNOW what they got into before they signed up to be them in the first place" remember that
they have a job to do. If they dont want to do it, then there are other people willing to take
their place.
SECOND - QUOTAS - I know this sounds rediculous, But JohnT and Artimus want a great quality community. and with Great Quality
comes Work. Everyone seems to have this mentality that the orginazation runs itself, and thats NOT the case.
There needs to be certain QUOTAS that need to be met by higher authority so we know that they are doing their
job instead of sitting around watching eGO COM. go into flames.
THIRD - Application Process - I know we have an "Open Door Policy" Where anyone can join eGO. If you notice, When someone is
accepted, THEN we decide to throw the book at them with the following:
-Rules of Conduct
-Stickies
-Active on Website
-Stay in Contact
-Report to Roll Calls
-and asking them to please attend events.
Like I said, i know that this is an "Open Door Policy" but dont you think that people should
Know about all of this BEFORE they are approved? All i'm saying is that the "Application Process"
needs to be a little more personable and in depth than just a few posts back in forward on the
forums and never getting to know one another.
If I were to be a recruiter like this, i might as well be letting anyone join that i want.
There needs to be a point where the interviewer and the applicant actually go 1on1 in a chat
and talk back and forward. I would ask about our rules of conduct and what we expect, while at
the same time finding out if the person is serious about joining, or just wanting to have an =(e)=
next to their name. This would also make the applicant feel as though they are getting involved in
a more serious role, which would make them feel honored. And if not, then thats 1 more person that
wont be joining on the list of 10,000 others that are "inactive" that we never heard from again.
Sometimes you really need to ask yourself "Quality before Quanity" and THEN focus on Quanity.
Build a strong backbone of members, then focus on recruites. This assures your progression of
the eGO community.

FOURTH - Promotion Process - This almost applies with the application process. I know you guys have a way of doing things, but
sometimes easy just isint the way to go. I belive that a promotion should be earned, not given.
Attending an Admin class for a G is just a little bit to easy. Again we need to focus on Quality
and not Quanity for right now, and once we build a backbone, THEN you focus on quanity. If there is
anything you want quanity on its =(e)=™'s. But e's that were brought in the way thats been said in
my "third" category so they at least have some background. I would feel perfectly fine if you had to
take a TEST to get your eGO lisence. i garentee you if that were the case then you wouldnt see HALF
the O's that are in eGO today. For instance ........ he went from e to eGO in less than 2 months.
because he had a friend that was an eGO and he actually isint even in the community anymore. He rage
quit eGO for the same reason why im talking to you guys about this. I have seen eG's and even e's
for crying out loud that have contributed to eGO more than he has.
FIFTH - VENT - This is a really rediculous idea to let counsil and advisor members beable to to go the top of the vent in the "General
Room" channels and password them. Why on earth are they General Room channels then? Theres not enough of them as there is.
Also, Vent needs to be cleaned up. I have had many vents in my life time, and I have a little something called OCD. So our
Vent drives me crazy. Lets look at the topics of disscusion on this subject.
-Too many rooms. - it makes our vent look really ugly and makes people forcefuly segregate from people they dont know.
which ultimatly boils down to people not getting to know one another. If we limited the number of rooms,
but still kept a good amount, Maybe this wouldnt be an issue. The times where i have made good friends
in eGO were the times where i joined a channel with someone in it cause there were no empty ones and
introduced myself.
-Too many different names - Again makes vent ugly. It needs to look more Clean and Simple.
-Needs Private Rooms - This is so people can have a room to themselves where noone can interupt them.
-*THIS IS A MUST*General ROoms - You need to move the General Rooms to the bottom, because everyone goes to the General
Rooms by default because they are at the top of the list, And everyone is always asking
What game they play. Well.. Subtract from General Rooms, and Add Gaming Rooms... Problem Solved.
For instance, If this was my vent, i would have it look like this. Nice and simple for everyone. Because ours is just plain UGLY.
