There's obvisously nothing wrong with using 1 monitor - I personally have been using 2 to 4 monitors on 1 PC for a long time now. Just for clarification, I don't use it in 'Clone' mode - or all monitors have the same screen. I use 'Extended' mode - like a long desktop. Each monitor has it's own resolution, so things aren't stretched or fuzzy.
The advantages to a multi-monitor setup is that one can spread out. As I have posted before on this, I keep all of my contact info on 1 screen - I know where it is - not buried under several windows (which used to happen all-to-often with me).
Games - I do not extend the games onto several monitors, I use just 1 (and that is in windowed for faster switching).
Again, contacts (in whatever form) are still visible and accessable.
Big dis-advantage is it takes up alot of room, extra heat..etc.
Of course - bottom line - it's whatever you prefer. You like one? - use just one.
** I do have pix as well - but it's really no big deal **
