very good :D, have you though of any blurring or render effects other than just brushes?

As High Contrast said, try to stray away from just using brushes.

Honestly, I like your first one the best, just take out the horrid C4D just plastered onto it. A little advice: don't cover up your renders as much.

Like this, don't do that.

It's good for your first few signatures. There's alot of room for improvement. Try using stuff other than brushes. Use filters, blurring, and use www.gimptalk.com for some tutorials. If you need help just PM me.

this one took me so long to render and dont feel the background is good enough but i gotta get up at 3 to go to work so here it is comments please

well i think your main problem is that they are too basic, no offence. Try and use text effects and maybe have your text sit on a gun barrel? just rotate your text and move it somewhere it fits snug instead of floating around, see what you can do with that. IF you want photoshop, email me at [email protected], i cant discuss that anymore or i will be breaking rules ^_^ have a real good mess about with some settings and effects so you know what you can add to your next sig.

For just starting out, not too shabby. You could be doing a lot more though. Spend some more time with each sig. Most people can crank out sigs like these. Star using some different effects. Try some smudge techniques. Youtube, even deviantart are your friend for tutorials. (There are so many other websites for these too) Your on a good path. But you need to start jumping ship and trying new things :P

Example on this Ichigo sig. Put him more towards the middle. Your render is your focal point. He should be the "loudest" of the whole signature. So using that sig as an example, his face should be sharpened and his exposed shoulder should be a lil bit sharpened, but the rest should be progressivly blurry(But not like ouch my eyes blurry).

Try new things with your border, not all signatures have to be a uniform rectangle.

Most of your signatures have HUGE text, you could probably make it smaller, and blend it in a bit better. Curerntly they're just big and flat looking. They more or less distract me from the render.

Most importantly, the whole thing should blend well together. The sig should "pop" and catch users eye. Currently, your's are lacking the "pop" factor.

Just trying to shed some insight. Sorry if I was harsh :P

My current sig is not my best work just for the record! Just something I slapped together to match my Avatar XD I'm in the works of making a new sig.

Another tip: try using your smudged version of your render as your background.

That's what I did in mine, moved my render around is they covered all of the background and merged all the layers. Then I just smudged it slightly.

A lot of your stuff would be good for stuff like a t-shirt though. It has that vector look.

You could always try using a Color wheel. Contrast is good, but you also want it to blend/flow :D

Keep it up though!

So I slapped together an example signature for you. It's pretty basic but it get's the idea across.

Ok, so if you look at the links provided below, you can see what they looked like before I messed with them. This first gives you an example of a signature that's not just a regular rectangle and it even has a drop shadow. If you make it look right you can even have your parts of your render "out" of the signature, and I can make example if you want me to.
This also shows you how the signature "blends." Being color choices or the background being related to the render. This is a guy from Prototype, which takes place in a city. You can't quite tell, but I blurred his far hand, and from his belly down. The text doesn't "POP" out and doesn't distract you from the render, yet it's still visible and you can still read it. Instead of doing a rectangle, you could even do a circle!

I took these two images.

Yeah.. legit ftw!
But I guess I can critique you some more :P

#1- Favorite of them all. I can see the style your starting to develop. You'll probably get some haters with this style just a fair warning. But. I would have liked to see more of a red-ish orange in the background vectors, same with the name. Probably would make it smaller and put it underneath your renders blade. OR! keeping with the flow of the diagonal lines and making it diagonal and flow with those lines.

#2- It's just not finished to be honest. The background clashes with the render. My focus is turned to the bright green and your name. So I can't really critique it all that well.

#3 I would like to see a brighter background. Your render is pretty bright.

All--- Try not using flat colors, especially grey. Not ALL signatures should focus the render, but a majority of people like to see it be focused on. A lot of your signatures are focused on your name, background and then render. So in your case, if you are going to continue doing so, you should make your name pop out, be less flat, it needs depth, instead of a flat paperlike text. The backgrounds, your doing a good job, just keep trying play around with some other things.

I think since you've now lost Photoshop :( I'll try and make a sig with ONLY Gimp, and if you like it, and if you want I could produce a signature tutorial for you using gimp.. :) I could even teach you how to make it appear to "jump" around by a simple 3 frame animation ;)

Gimp kinda is a broken down, stripped photoshop with some other tools to replace what was taken, but since it's open source, and free. You can find a lot of things for it for free :)

heres one i did it took me a little while to complete and still does not feel comlpetre but i try to blend the render to the backgroung but still make it noticeable the text I still need to learn more on. comments?

heres a couple more I did and these two I took my time on unlike a 10 minute sig but again any more comments I would love to hear thx
