I agree.In my school if they catch you with a phone anything on.they will take it and only your parents can claim it..So dont break the rulez

why not ask first before trying to sneak it in? Is there anything that says in the rules that says you cannot bring an mp3 player to school? I would think most schools wouldn't care as long as it wasnt being used during class or school hours.

This solution will be, perhaps, unpopular. However, if your school won't allow electronics, but you're looking for something to fill your time while traveling, why not read a book? I have a two-hour commute to and from work each day, and have for the past five years. I've read a LOT of really good books in that time ... and I can still listen to music elsewhere whenever I want.
The last book I finished, and one that was a relatively easy read while still being engaging, was [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Soon-Will-Be-Invincible-Novel/dp/0375424865"]Soon I Will Be Invincible[/ame], and it could easily keep you busy for a few days while commuting.

The second my old high school gets metal detectors, the issue will be brought to Parliament, so I think they're too scared to install 'em there.
