You can add steam friends via the edgegamers.org profile. To get there, click the user's name just above their avatar. Then select the first option, "view public profile" you will see an image under "status" that looks like a steam image. Click the avatar and select "add to friends."

Note: this only works for MAUL registered forum users.
Also note: All Edge Gamers members are MAUL registered.
