Insurgency 3.0 $50

lol. Nothing. I cant stand how video games are 50-60 or even 70 bucks now. The only way i would get it is if i got it used or traded things in. I just cant bring myself now to really spend more than 30 bucks on a game. 50 bucks...to much for a game.

True that man that's why i was bugging out about dropping 50 on bbc2.
Games are a bit high now a days but when you think about the time you spend on it its worth it because I know every time I get in the car I spend $10-20 either on the gas to get to my location or fast food so in theroy seating at home and playing a game instead of just driving somewhere saves you money lol!

the m1911 along with a knife and bayonet are hidden within the files of the current version just not being used.

I want a knife!

Personally, I'd like to see more people being able to join a game, that would of course make it where new positions are available. Like, 2 more snipers per team. Or 2 more squad leaders. Also, it'd be kind of cool if they would add different types of pistols, like snipers would get a .357 or something :P

I don't know, my ideas probably seem a bit lame.

nope don't seem lame to me i like them a sniper with a 357 would do some serious damage
and a 32 vs 32 would be interesting!

Also, the insurgents do speak a different language when playing as a Marine. They only speak English when you are playing as an insurgent.[/QUOTE]

lol never notice this till you said it that is kinda funny

"alhahakbak"

They should have those quake sound effects in the game like "headshot" "multikill"

now how did you find that one out?

before christmas I was looking through the game files and found those weapons skins and models.
here is the world model of the 1911:

Ummm updated graphics like CS:S quality. Better player models.
But the same feel.
More maps.

Melee attacks. Like a combat knife. Or something.
Hum V. Or a pick up truck.
One per side.

IDk I'm just thinking off the top of my head.

What he said:P
+1

Don't know if I can buy any more games so if it is for money soon then I will be forced to join a different division :(

Ehh graphics....who cares. Its the experience and gameplay that make the game great! Besides INS to me looks like it has better graphics from all the screens ive seen.

Heres the problem with it becoming a game you have to pay for. it has to be accepted by valve then they do alot of prep work and alot more edits and stuff then steam cuts into your profit.

simply it wouldnt be fair to the people who alrdy have it if it was taken away and steam said "Hey look we know you have played this for 3 years gimmie 20 bucks and you can play it sum more" also ALOT of people already have it, so the profit wouldnt be huge. just saying.

I would NEVER pay 5+ dollars for ins period. espically if the only thing they do is add a few more features and maps IF i was to pay for ins i would want achievments, OB engine support, PREMO graphics, tons new maps features and weapons

they did have a knife for ins but they took it away i think

Okay, IF Valve were going to buy Insurgency, we would hear about at the time of the purchase. Then, Valve would work on it for several years before releasing it. It took 10 years for them to make the Team Fortress sequel. It's not like one week we would be in beta 2.5, and then the next week valve would release the game for $XX. Further, Valve has never simply added a few features to a mod and then release it for retail. They always add a large array of features which justify buying the game. Also, I feel pretty confident in saying that by the time Valve's retail version of Insurgency is released they would have put it on directx 10 and we would all have flying cars and eat entire meals in pill form.

well maybe they could make a newer insurcengy an updated version with new gameplay elements and sell that. in the meanwhile the older insurgency (wich we use now) could be free and don't receive any updates anymore.

I can't wait to take my dinner pill.

The thing I think INS needs most right now is OB engine. The current engine is just old and glitchy. It was promised to me months ago, and I haven't let go of that. Besides the fact that OB would make the division look less like a jerry-rigged TF2/CS:S division, I think gameplay would benefit. And while you won't like that comment, you know it's true. INS doesn't have any standard plug-ins that all the other source games have and you wouldn't be dealing with a lot of the stupid quirks like pink admin text that's lost in kill messages. I have a big problem with hit boxes still, and little invisible hooks on the floor and walls that always catch your clothes at the wrong time. Not to mention that we had to disable player collisions because of all the idiots who stand in doorways, but that brings on a whole new world of problems like TKs from standing inside people or freezing them with smoke grenades. And barrels. Those barrels don't deserve to be in ANY game.

We see eye to eye here.

BC2 with no prone makes me realize I am not playing a war game. I feel like I'm playing the "Whack-a-Mole" games and I'm the mole when I am the Sniper. I know it's a small thing but it's irritating as hell. Plus there is no side lean buttons.

If Insurgency was offered at a price similar to DOD then it would do awesome in sales. $50, is just too much in this economy.

I agree with all of that. I hate when I'm shooting at someone and another player gets 'inside' of me and makes me lose them 25 points. Plus, the barrels can GTFO.

It's a arcade shooter, love it or hate it (I say hate it), hundreds of thousands of people will be buying it.

If i was gonna pay $50 then i would be needing stuff like stationary MG postions and a choice between diffrent spawnpoints, also booby traps like mines or such would be awesome in city maps. A balance tool which can balance the teams based on some rating would also be awesome, most games one team is just too good compared to the other.
