hmmm, I disagree. It depends. I find that the only thing deathmatch improves is sniping skills. Honestly. It allows you to become an offensive sniper and those are really really good. Other than that, i really don't see it helping too much.
This is because: 1. You rush with low hp, don't care about dying. You spawn again anyway
2. Learn much slower when it comes to game sense ( where opponent is, how many, footsteps etc.)
3. Your style of play will change. we adapt and change to suit the style. E.g you wouldn't walk a lot in deathmatch so when you play another type of the game it will take time to pick up again
4. Tactics. You don't learn very much do you =/. These are essential in other forms of the game and scrims etc.
Overall i really believe normal matches improve you more.
I'm going to have to disagree with those pointers you are giving out. Playing death match will improve your game sense and awareness of where people are, you'll find yourself peeking more angles during matches. Your style of play definitely will not change...not walking in death match will not affect anything...only reason people walk is so they arent heard, anyone playing a match will walk out of common sense, also, it's good if you don't hear where they are during death match, that forces flick shots...most of the time I'll play with no sound during death match, thus forcing every kill to be a flick shot. Normal scrims/matches will not improve your aim more because you dont get a shot to practise very much during a match, you're focusing more on getting kills and planting the bomb...and you can't take your time on aiming to hit shots.
