I propose the engineer is building a super-galactic food dispenser/cannon. Sort of like "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" where one can wish any food one delights, and the dispenser makes it.

The Candy Man can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good.

it appears whatever he is working on has a propane tank attached. Maybe something that uses flame...

I personally believe its a hint that they are working on the "meet the pyro" video.

It does, I started playing TF2 on the 360. I still hang on to hope that it will get updates one day(I still own 2 copies of it),or that they release a stand alone version of TF2 with all the updates. Maybe release it with Portal 2 :drool:,I could see that happening.
