I have been home schooled ever since I was a kid, officially dropping out of High school to finish school via homeschooling, graduating early this year with an actual high school diploma through my Texas home school coalition.
I originally was to get my GED, but through the THSC was able to get an actual diploma and you can too.
It's easier in a sense of not being in a stressful environment, constantly distracted by other students and the day by day rush to get to class, avoiding being tardy or that hard core teacher like the one in Twisted Sisters music video. "I wanna rock."
But it is a bit HARDER as you have to put forth the effort and determination to get the work given to you done and to either have your Mum, Dad or ability to self teach yourself the skills and such needed to successfully graduate.
You cannot just slack off because your at home all day, it doesn't work that way and you'll end up in regret of the choice later in life.
When you turn eighteen schools will not accept you (This excluding Colleges ect.) so you gotta be SURE you wanna do this, it's not an easy breeze through school like many think it is.
First up: do you have a parent or guardian that is gonna teach you the subjects you need?
Second: Where are you located -- There may be a Home school Coalition you can go through to get your diploma, instead of getting a GED.
Third: Do you have the funds to get the schoolbooks and materials needed? (As you will need to show your work to the Colleges or the HSC (Home School Col). to prove your graduation was legit.)
As well, you should join any Home school groups so you can meet and befriend kids that are home schooled like you.
Cause trust me sometimes you get bored, I know I did.
Overall, Home schooling can be great if you wish to avoid the Hussle-Bussle of everyday school rush hour.
And you CAN STILL get your Diploma WITHOUT having to get a GED through homeschooling, you just gotta put forth the effort.
So it is easier, but then again it is a bit harder as school IS IN FACT the best way to get through getting a proper education, and doing it at home can take a bit of time.
I did FULL SCHOOL DAYS in my home with my parents teaching me.
I used a GED study book as my assignments and work book to be exact, and did three assignments outta each section till the actual school day was over and then sent off for my Diploma earlier this year.
May I suggest the book I used as my study-tablet?
