About the Game
Available immediately, Valve has launched an extensive update to Counter-Strike: Source, now in beta. The update includes a host of new features and functionality developed in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios.

This beta will run for a limited time, and once complete, the update will be deployed to all Counter-Strike: Source owners for free via Steam.

I was actually kind of hoping that this would be a ninja troll. Now I'm not sure if I should be excited about a CSS release or disappointed in Opeth.

On the day i came back the game is updated.

NOTE: This is not supported by eGO yet. You may not be able to join your favorite servers until it is officially released.

What we do know:

The game has been ported to the orange box engine. The orange box engine offers multi core support which is good. Improved graphics are possible now, but the main reason they moved ahead with this port was due to the steam mac release that is coming up tomorrow.

The whole orange box engine is going to be the basis for valve's cross platform release strategy with source engine games. Steam for Mac drops tomorrow.

I have been bored of Steam games, so i like this update.

First impressions by yours truly!

- Achievements too easy to get so far.
- Characters move / accelerate faster than in actual CS:S.
- It's a lot smoother.
- Improved graphics / might require turning down settings on some PC's.
- Servers are completely full as of the moment I'm writing this post, so prepare for waiting times. More servers are showing up slowly.
- Dominations and Revenges make it look a lot like TF2.
- Killcam makes it look like TF2, aswell. Quite odd in my opinion.
