They might have lowered the rate you can spam airblasts, but in reality you shouldn't been spamming airblasts...
Um they increased the rate you can spam airblasts, so now it isn't as bad an idea to spam Airblasts...
the ones complaining it was nerfed are the W+M1s and the Guys that expect to die but take a couple enemies with them from the afterburn.
I main as a Pyro (albeit a mediocre one) and i for one say that the last update was OPed. not super bad, but still to the point of becoming an annoyance.
Anyways I think that Valve will probably take this halfway, maybe even releasing multiple "updates" for the pyro for a few days to see what works.
but I believe that they'll:
1) keep the current "nerfed" direct flame damage
2) increase the time of afterburn to longer than it ever was before (12 seconds at most)
3) decrease the speed of airblasts a little, maybe enough to BARELY reflect all a soldiers rockets, but seriously, putting people into orbit with 3 consecutive airblasts is ridiculous
4) restore 25 ammo airblast
5) give backburner slightly more damage to buildings, to make it a better choice for you circle-strafers out there.
6) make reflected flares do crits instead of mini-crits. It's no like it'll change gameplay much.
Those are just what I think should happen anyways. I'm sure we all have ideas but we'll just have to wait for Valve before we see them. Also, if you see any flaw in the balance of the points i just made above then feel free to post it; i love getting edumacated!
tl;dr: read the numbers and tell me what u think.
EDIT: also, my #2 may be a bit excessive, but basically just increase afterburn time... maybe not by that much though.
