No ragdoll effect fix

As many of you have seen, the new css update made it to where now you just sort of "Surrender" when you die, I found a way to fix it.

cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 1

Just put that into console and it should work.

Never had the problem of Surrendering, but ill turn it off and see if it starts

You know, I've never understood why surrendering would be so annoying. I mean, could you imagine the epic mass suicides you could get? OH and if they died in pool, that would be hilarious.

I believe t's should surrender in jail, makes it more realistic . HEY, a post for the drop box !

How do you not figure this out earlier? It's pretty much self-explanatory, cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 1, is just a fix for something that's cool.

While I agree the effect could be nice in jail, It's very annoying for other server gameplay. Its very distracting because they fall in a controlled motion as opposed to the ragdoll effect, which tends to make me think they haven't died until a couple seconds after when they finally get on the ground

If you find yourself lagging (ping lag, not fps) when you first start CS:S and join a server, it could be that since the new update, when you pull up server list, it seems to refresh both your favorites and your internet lists at the same time.

Since internet list takes forever to finish refreshing (Due to all the servers) people will sometimes join and be stuck with 400 ping cause they didn't stop the refresh on their internet servers tab. Least, I know that happens to me.

I never have a problem with my ping unless I'm downloading something

But sometimes i can have fps lag spikes because of this update... =\

But sometimes CS:S will mess up ventrilo and make me have about 6000 ping for 2 minutes then it goes away

Try entering that code then restarting steam?

Join games from the server tab in steam. Click on view>servers>then whichever one you would like to play.

Haven't noticed this "surrender" you are talking about. I disabled the freeze on death cam thing though, that thing was annoying.. Why would anyone want to take a picture of the guy killing you? lol

I had this very same problem and it really got to me, but I just kept playing and it went away n its own :/
