Benchmarking Thread!

I tried again but with OC'ing my graphics card farther.

Read it and weep ;)
Got my HIS IceQ X Turbo 6950 2GB to 960/1500 woot!

EDIT: I believe we should do top 3 for each bracket, since it's only fair or we wouldn't do brackets (: But I think at minimum top from each bracket.

Updated.

I'm thinking just the top from each bracket, since having potentially 12 people added in a week isn't very good.

Well true lol.

Might want to change my clock speeds on mine from 930/1450 to 960/1500

And what settings will you be using on Mafia II? I just tested it at what you guys did way back. 1280x720 assuming maxed out etc.

I was thinking something like this would be better:

(for 3D benches)

-ATi pre-5XXX
-ATi post 5XXX
-nvidia pre- 2xx(or fermi)
-nvidia post-2xx(or fermi)

If we do something particualrly CPU bound, we could have a SB class too.

That way it is separated by classes where you actually stand a chance in your class.

I like that.
How would you do the CPU brackets though for both AMD and Intel?

pretty much anything other than SB is fair for 3D benches. If we are doing vantage. or something like that, AMD guys are just going to have to suck it up.... If we decide to do SPi or something, we would have to create different brackets. Something like:

-SB
-AMD
-Intel

Ask me then?

Unless AMD really pulls off a home run, I don't think it will be as dominant as SB for benchmarking.

Here's my application. I feel like I got a lot better frames last time around. Probably because I did. I need to up my memory clock again. And lower my vcore. >.>

If anyone else on a 16:9 monitor is having trouble running at 1680x1050 (a 16:10 resolution), try this:

I manually edited in 1680x1050 here:
%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\2K Games\Mafia II\Saves\videoconfig.cfg

You won't be able to go fullscreen (ie. no sli/crossfire) w/o getting a blackscreen and having to terminate the process though. It seems to me that it would make more sense to run 1600x900 for these tests to eliminate these problems...
ie. 16:9 easily stretches onto most 16:10 monitors, but not the other way around.

It wasn't an issue for me on the last test, but I moved that 28in 1920x1200 (16:10) screen to my other machine. I'll hopefully get around to moving this box sometime next week to participate in this test.

Eh, that was alright...

Both of you have been added.

VP-77, what's going on with your drivers? Might want to check them out. We have the same GPU, but I have a different processor, and my score is over double of yours. What's up with that?
