Well, im going to start to make a jail map based in the desert, but im only missing 1 thing i dont know how to do because i never tried... and that thing is like the background of the map. Like in dust2 there's like the background of that map and also some other maps.

Okay for starters

Don't rush straight into jail mapping, it is very complex and requires alot of knowledge of the editor.

Before doing any big projects, learn how to use the editor and try out different things.

I have experience with it, Ive made a jail map already and some other maps, Lost most of them after I forgot to save them befor i rebooted my PC lol... :/
