Most of the questions that we (the CS:S leadership) get on a daily basis pertains to jail and its game play or admining. Why is this? Its a role playing game. Its not a normal game of counter strike where it is the same thing every round - plant the bomb and then defuse. Jail constantly evolves and has different situations with every round that goes by.
Now, lets get into admining on jail. No, this is not a guide to our admins on how to admin, its an explanation to you non admins to why some things happen.
Okay so now that you have an understanding that CS:S Jail is a role playing game and doesn't have built in game rules, you have to understand that admining jail is not a walk in the park. The admins make the decisions in the jail server after talking amongst each other and using their best judgment on how something should be handled. There isn't just one person who makes a call, its a group effort.
Lets do some Question & Answer for a second:
QUESTION: Why do people get revoked
ANSWER: An infraction of a jail rule - freekilling, gun planting, not being with terrorists etc.
QUESTION: Why do people get revoked without warning
ANSWER: They don't usually. Just because YOU don't see a warning, doesn't mean the admins aren't handling the situation.
QUESTION: Why do people get kicked
ANSWER: Continual infractions of either a jail rule or a server rule in general
QUESTION: Why do people get banned
ANSWER: Continual infractions after an individual has been warned or kicked
Time for the biggest question of them all:
Why was an =(e)= kicked without a warning? There are two answers for this. One of which is the same answer to one of the questions above. The other answer is this - as an Edgegamers member you agreed to the rules when you signed up to the clan. You are representing Edgegamers by wearing that =(e)= tag. If you break a rule, you will be kicked without warning. You as an Edgegamers member are held to a higher standard than just a normal pub.
So now that all of that is out of the way, let me answer one more thing before we wrap up. OMG WHY ISN'T THAT GUY BEING REVOKED? Before you go screaming that in server take some things into consideration:
From my perspective, it may be a freekill, but from everyone else's perspective it may not be a freekill.
This person may have only killed one person by mistake, and they may not have had any other issues before. We are a clan that gives second chances and understands that people make mistakes.
I think that is all I have for you today folks. I hope I could answer some of your burning questions that you have. If you still have an issue with something listed above, or are confused and don't understand, feel free to hop into Ventrilo and talk to me about it. I'd be glad to explain anything to you that you need asked (pertaining to jail - no I wont tell you how babies are born).
