BC2 Vietnam. Don't want to waste money on something that's only good for a few days... so is it good? (Or anything else that's new/on sale for that matter)

Thanks much,

Ethereal

DOOO EEET vietnam destroyed BC2 I dont even want to touch that game anymore its all about vietnam

I like it. nice change of scenery. It seems to be pretty popular, so I don'tthink it's going away.

i still have mix feelings about it. same bs that goes on reg BF goes on in Vietnam but then again im broke most of the week so when i have money again i might think it was a good investment lol

You will be addicted in the 1st match.

Yeah it isn't gonna last you just a few days. You have to learn all the maps and all the different ways and every game is different depending on teams. If you like BC2 I suggest getting vietnam. It is a very good DLC. If you want another opinion go here. it's a review from PC gamer. Very high marks.

Feels like a whole new game with the same great(okay, not always great) mechanics. Get it, you won't regret it. Of course, this is coming from someone who bought SPECACT...

Just think of BC2 as a huge warfare map, you travel all over the place fighting in large deserts with modern equipment, scopes, and vehicles. Now think of vietnam as small jungle maps, no sights, crude vehicles with deadly weapons and thats vietnam.

It is like night and day, BC2 is for large open scale warfare and Vietnam is more for close combat squad matches. I have noticed in vietnam it counts more to work as a squad then a team in BC2.

Definitely more squad based and close quarters combat. There are a few places for snipers, but mostly cqc.

Me, personally being a EA hater, had reservations about buying both BC2 and BC2 Vietnam. Very suprised, I enjoy both titles very much. I think you will enjoy them:thumbup:

I addicted to both games, but I love the Vetnam version better because thier is more close squad combat. This type of game makes your players need to work together to ensure victory that how I feel about the game.

Since I have bought the game BC2 and Vetnam version and also have become a member of eGO community,my old butt has had so much fun playing the BC2 games, and using the eGO vent working together with other members.as teams, Its Awesome and I love it I will be sticking around awhile eGO.

The CQC is where vietnam dlc turns me off.. I love recon and that's pretty much what I play all the time haha so I don't know how I would like it.. :/

Go for it!!

I recommend this game to all. In my opinion best FPS Expansion in 2010

ITS ONLY 14.99 TOO!!

GAHHH!!!! I'm still on the fence about this! I mean... it's $15 for just multiplayer.. :(

Can anyone explain just how different it is, what are some things that make it really good, some things you don't like about it.. opinions on gameplay, etc.? thanks!

I say go ahead and get it, I still play normal and Vietnam and both are pretty fun. It's nice to have the scenery change and even the tech change since it's a bit different in the Vietnam era than in the more modern BFBC2 Normal. Also I believe that Vietnam also looks a little better. If you don't get it you may end up :facewall: so be :) and just get it lol.

Ehh.. ok.. I guess I'll get it.. I might wait a little while.. don't know.. then again I only have 5 months to enjoy it so what the hell..
