I'd like to take a minute to direct everyone's attention to a thread located in the eGO Private forums...so I'll copy the text of it into here, because it's worthwhile for everyone to remember. Yes, this entire thread is a giant bait-and-switch, but if you're reading this, you fell for it! 
Why am I copying it here? Because it's important, and I worry that it's being neglected as of late. Every quote below was made by a DL or Council member; the thread was actually started over a year ago now.
VENTRILO EXISTS!
Now then...why exactly am I bringing this up? Because to be honest, I'm pretty frustrated about what Vent has looked like as of late. During the week, we barely have a dozen people in our channels. For Realism last night, there were 66. It's a little bit absurd when one night of the week has five times as many people. Yes, things come up and everyone is busy during the week, but please try to join us in Vent when possible.
If you're gaming, especially in DoD/on our servers, hop in Ventrilo and join us. I often will join a game if there are people in Vent playing it; that's why I play BC2 sometimes with Ill Legend/Mostly Harmless/Beta/Bigredking/FartVader/et al.; it's more fun with people to talk to and strategize, if nothing else.
I'd like to see more people in Ventrilo every night. It's definitely a factor when promotions come into play (as Slayr mentioned above). No, the presence of myself, Spray, Slayr, or any other Leadership member doesn't mean you're in trouble. To be honest, most of the time I'm by myself in the DoD Leadership channel, it's because I'm trying to get work done yet still be available to handle anything that comes up. We're not out to scare you...if that's the case, you'll know anyway. But either way, I/we would like to see everyone there more often.
Think of this as a friendly public-service announcement from DoD Leadership
