Colorado and Detroit in the playoffs, bar none best rivalry ever.. everytime time they met it was fireworks, octopus and fists.. I miss the old Avalanche days with Roy, Forsberg, Sakic,Tanguay, Hejduk, Bourque, blake, Lemieux, Foot... man I can recall the whole lineup... hockey just isn't the same anymore lol

i've always loved hockey, but its nothing like it used to be

even crosby now (best player currently in the nhl) is no where NEAR the records of some of the good oldies. also theres just no respect in the league anymore, which is why you keep getting these headshots and stuff.
and the league themselves are just sooooo sensitive right now its ridiculous. i hate to see what new rules they bring out for next year in attempts to "stop headshots". what ever happened to the players responsibility to keep his head up?? if you're skating through the neutral zone with your head down you deserve to get clobbered.

and even so, all the injuries are terrible i can't disagree, but right now the league is not calling penalties/suspensions based on the actual rules, they are basing it on if the player layed on the ice for 5 minutes first.
there are numerous occasions where IN THE SAME GAME there was apparently a 'headshot', the guy acted hurt for 5 minutes, they call a 5 minute major blah blah, then later in the game there was an actual headshot (against the other team of course, retaliation) but the guy got right back up (tough canadian player or something) and they don't call a thing!!

its getting a little ridiculous
