spawn camping rules

hello..ive been playing alot of tf2 lately and was wondering whats the policy on spawn camping? in dods its not allowed but tf2 is a entirely different game. i would like to to be able to properly enforce it on the servers thanks!

It is 100% completely allowed. That being said, to make it fun for the whole server, you can always make a strong effort to disrupt it.

you should play on blackmesa. once youve been there youll love it (or hate it. depends on what team you are).

Best tactic against it is to have a Dead Ringer Spy come out of spawn and get behind the spawn campers. Now the spawn campers know its a dead ringer causing them to either chase or look back momentarily and at this time a medic & assault class should come out to help while the rest of the team scatter.

I agree. Some people aren't as good as others, so if you want to make the experience a good one, try to disrupt the spawn camp if possible

Don't listen to him! Your ears cannot repel Rap of that magnitude!

And, tbh, spawncamping in TF2 isn't all that bad on most maps. Unless they put up more than 3 sentries, and have a medic, you'll eventually be able to stop them, either by pure rushing, heavy/medic combos, DR spies or even pyro rushes. I've never played DoD but I know in some games when someone has their entire team on your spawn, it's "3...2...1... dead, respawn in 3...2..."

Oh, and something some people need to realise about BlackMesa map in particular, the spawn has three exits.

I remember back in 2009 on 2Fort... Ahh, those were the spawn camping days. Throw up sticky bombs outside the spawn door on 2Fort in the hay room and repeating that.

correct. alot of ppl dont realize that point. if your the right class there are even 4 ways to get out. but tbh if your being spawncamped from both sides 3 exits end up in death lol
