I dont know why, I can't play in dod_strand ... at the end of the download it

Couldn't CRC maps/dod_strand.bsp.disconnecting


What is mean ?!?

most ot the time it's due to bsp files being different from server. If you dl'd the map from the server then it may be the sound file that is corrupt. best bet is to delete the map and sound file for the maps that don't work and re-download them. Most peeps go to fpsbannana to get the maps they need. If after all that it still don't work, then it is not your fault. chances are the server has an older version of the map and needs to updated. try going to another server. Hope that works for you. \
btw- this is most common with people that were in the process of dl and the server changed maps or they got disconnected from server - thus leaving a incomplete file packet.

if what silent has suggested doesnt work, you will need to change your directX level. You can do that by right clicking on the game you want to change in this case DOD, and go to properties, click in set launch options and box should appear. I wouldnt suggest typing anything else in here other than what i am about to tell you, seeing as to how it is for people who know what they are doing. In this box type in "-dxlevel 80" (without the quotes) then click ok and restart steam....if setting it to 80 doesnt help, you can try one of 3 other options, either going higher or lower with the setting of 70, 81, or 90.

I also had this problem when I re installed windows. go here http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/16085. Download and move here: steam>steamapps>username>day of defeat source>dod>maps. If it asks you if you want to replace the file there say yes. Hope this helps.
