A few of you may have noticed that i wasn't here this weekend at all. The paintball guys won;t think its a good excuse but others might. This weekend, Fort Worth had a very, very, VERY, amazing airsoft operation game going on and i got to go to it. The pure awesomeness of it is indescribeable. Probably the best rule we had on the field was if its in your way, move it. We were alowed to bust in doors, smash windows, you name it! The only bad parts were that most of the time we couldn't tell who was on what team (we had to scream "tan or green" the whole time 'cus each team figured out each other's code phrase) and we'd be fighting our own guys, and that the green team (i was tan) would barely call hits when some people would unload a whole clip on them. But out of all the things that happened, the sound grenades were the most terrifying and hilarious addition. Seriously, if this grenade was within 20 feet of you, not only did you "die" you also basically lost hearing for a certain amount of time because of how loud it was (one went off 5 ft away from me in a small 15x10 ft room). Also, it was funny because (i hade no grenades) you could throw a rock into a hallway and yell "frag out!" and you would just hear feet running, then see a clear hall! People just scattered at the sound of grenades because of how terrifying they were! We even had a night game where the already pitch black halls of the center buildings were even darker. You could not see your hand in front of your face. I got so many knife kills from the dark its not even funny. It also surprised me (not trying to be sexist or anything here) how many girls played in this game. Not only did they play, they DOMINATED. This one girl screamed at us to get back when a grenade rolled down the hall, and she sacrificed herself by kicking the nade back at the people! Once my gun's battery died and, in order to save my friends' lives from potential threats, i rushed a building with only a spring pistol! I got about 5 kills with it before i was lit up. Whew, that was a lot. 8am-11pm wore me out. I know this was a long story but this is just to show that cali may be a huge airsoft area, but Texas can still rock the game! Even the KWA guys that came in from Cali said that they couldn't believe how in to airsoft we all were (we also got to look at some of their new guns! man i was in heaven when i saw those weapons!). Thanks for your time guys, and maybe i'll see ya at one of the Milsim's someday :D

Sounds like a ton of fun! I've always wanted to go to a big event. (paintball of course ;)) I missed out on a local one this year but I'm hoping I can make it next year.

Killing Spree! I dont know what else to say.

Pfft. more like total carnage. i had to run from 1 building to another thats about 50 ft away while dodgeing enemy fire from all angles. so yeah.

and cake, one reason ik that you'd pick paintball over airsoft is because canadian legal airsoft guns suck. it really sucks that they have to be clear. i'm sorry canada, that you can't handle the real looking guns :(

Pretty sure the actual gun laws in Canada are ridiculously strict aswell. :P

Yes real looking fake guns, they don't have those in Canada they just have real looking real guns!

hey, i find it hilarious that airsoft guys rip on painball just as much as paintball guys rip on airsoft. we have 2 different reasons for playing our games. Airsoft is for realism and milsim, paintball is to shoot the crap out of your friends with hard balls of paint.

Shooting the crap out of each other with hard balls of paint? What's not to like?

Actually, some paintball things work for realism. In fact, most out door paintball places are going to be you running around trying not to get shot, which to me is pretty realistic.

Plus you wont have that whole "People getting hit, and then not calling themselves out" cause you'll know if you hit them or not.

Also airsoft is A LOT less expensive and the ammo doesn't expire.

by realism he mean Real guns ( not a gun that looks somewhat like the real steel version) and tactics. Not just running around avoiding projectiles. Airsoft plays on a principle of honesty and fair play. i'd love to see someone not calling themselves out when you rush in and unload an entire mag on them.

yeah, that was the only bad thing about this operation game. by the 3rd game the green team basically quit playing by the rules. Yeah the majority of the Tan team and some of the green team were folloiwing the rules, there's always those certain guys that just don't want to follow the rules

So if I'm understanding everybody here...On one hand you get to shoot people and on the other hand you get to shoot people. Paintball you try not to get hit by a projectile and airsoft you try not to get hit by a projectile. Airsoft you shoot a fake gun, no matter how real it looks its still a fake, and paintball you shoot a fake gun.

These two activities sound so eerily similar that I find it hard to determine what the difference is.

Okay so airsoft you claim makes better use of tactics, couldn't people who paintball do the same thing?

yeah i found that out too. why do we argue about the games? honestly each game has a different perk
