Alot of these Ideas rest on new servers, but how many, if any servers are we capable of adding to our rotation? Might it be more prudent to figure out what configuration would be best for our 3 currents servers, assuming no additions (maybe 1 at max for events).
Also don't forget, Back to Karkand comes out soon with the 4 most popular maps from BF2, needless to say, they might become the 4 most popular BF3 maps... we should be prepared for this and consider either a Back to Karkand only server? Or other iterations of the same basic Idea.
Assuming a limited amount of servers, and maps which when released may quickly become more popular than Caspian/Firestorm, is a good place to start as far as deciding on server changes.
**while I support a mixed conq/rush server, I must protest at the idea of mixing hardcore/normal. If it is X hard to kill a person on one map, and it changes to a map where it is 2X hard to kill them, might agitate people. Let people who join decide whether they want hardcore or normal, and leave the maps and modes to the server.
