When dealing with Player-vs-Player between the Empire and Republic guilds, we have adopted a Kill and Let Live policy. Because the guilds are on a PVP server, there will always be the threat of an opposing faction player ambushing/ganking you. For our two guilds, attacking the other guild's members is fine and encouraged, but not to the point it is harassing or ruining the enjoyment of the game for an extended period of time. In other words, you can kill them, but then leave and/or let them live. If they fight back after resurrecting, defend yourself as warranted. But when they resurrect and don't fight back, let them live. You got the kill, and that's that.
However, PVP killing during scheduled guild or divisional events is not allowed. That means the event MUST be scheduled beforehand on the calendar as any regular event would be, whether it would be a raid, achievement runs, etc. Pick up events are NOT protected.
In addition, players from the opposing guild must not intentionally try to ruin the event for the other guild. That means spying in vent, and then letting other players via trade chat know the enemy is about to raid a capital city. This is just one example, and we expect you to use your common sense and good judgment in dealing with this rule.
If there's an issue, talk to an advisor first, or if none is able (or cannot give a full answer), contact your division leader next.
