I just heard about the "set affinity" option that allows you to determine which cpus various proccesses run on. Is there a way to set this up so that steam games run at maximum potential? Or is there not much of a difference?

Every process I ever looked at showed all eight threads to use. So I'm pretty sure by default that it's always set to however many threads your CPU supports.
