Theres plenty of people who like his current maps. As I have said before, it is not the map that makes itself fun, it is the people playing on it.
That may be true but there still is that bomb that gets planted to much.
If you don't like getting shot because the bomb is planted every round, then rebel.
And honestly i dont think anyone reads that Rogue, anyone who is warden i dont think they read that and they dont know whats on the map.
Saying it empties out is a hyperbole. I personally have not noticed numbers dip by more than a handful while on jb_alcatraz unless the server went down, and even then, it only gets rtvd off because it was the start map and got played back to back a few times. The fact of the matter is as BmxImDead said every time the map gets on the server empties and it's rtv-ed or waited out.
There actually are a few creative wardens, but they do play T as well, especially on JB maps. The T team is just more fun when the team works together. Nothing is more satisfying then reaping havoc in the CT ranks and hunting them down to the last. You can not rely on people to be "creative" when they're is no evidence that creative wardens exist.
The map is hardly complicated after sitting 1 or 2 rounds in spectator seeing where things lead. Also, as previously stated, there are some mini-games to do, and even on a map where theres a plethora of mini-games, many still go unplayed in a full hour rotation.Making the map design complicated and no mini-games available forces the wardens to give out somewhat "generic" orders.
The update will make it easier to get out of dodge when the bomb is planted. However, communication and attention are still key. If you notice the bomb way off in the middle of nowhere on your minimap, chances are it will be planted soon. The bomber really should communicate with his team though. If this update doesn't do much for the map (which it won't unless a of a re-design) the map will still be unpopular.
As has been said before, there are multiple things to do. Aside from the point, its a jailbreak map. Minigames is not the primary objective, rebelling is.Therefore it's not the people's fault it's the map design to blame.
You can't blame someone for always using soccer as the only mini-game since they're is nothing else to do.
Except of course plant the bomb.
So do you people have something against rebelling? I personally love the map...
I don't see the problem with Ts having a fighting chance when the bomb is planted, seeing as a lot of people are complaining that they don't.I do honestly believe that this update will make it worse since now EVERY ROUND when the bomb is planted all T's will be out of there and rebelling.
I have a lot more fun rebelling than being the last prisoner. There just isn't any challenge involved in a last request that makes it worth while imo.Jailbreak is about having fun and being the last prisoner alive and if they don't want LR they can always rebel any time during the round.
For the 5th time, there are climbs and random events. Getting out of cell block is solely the wardens responsibility. Even on maps with minigames, a lot of the time rounds will be repeated multiple times in a row and half the Ts will be dead before exiting cell block. This is why I've come to enjoy jailbreak maps more, because it puts your life in your hands. If you don't like getting freekilled or doing the same games over and over and over, you can rebel at any time.Jail maps that include random events, climbs and mazes are a lot more popular because "IT'S FUN" and people can actually leave the cell block and explore the map.
Saying that the Ts should band together and work as a team will never happen, yes some might follow after someone rebels. However a lot of pubs and other players like playing activities to get LR, activities which are not there. This leads to the few rebelling Ts getting shot down whilst the innocent Ts sit there not knowing whats going on and getting shot when the bomb has been planted. This is not going to be a fun experience for new players and will just drive the away with the thought "Why would I play that when all they do is shoot us every round for nothing".
