how about all competitive maps server? with competitive status idk this might work

Have maps like mill, season, contra, strike, ruska? I don't think we've ever tried a competitive server rotation before (as long as I've been here). I'm pretty sure the server won't be an instant full, popular server but if its given a few weeks or months, it can certainly get up their.

I think that we should change the server and make it a gun game server with a bunch of map rotations. I always see gun game full and we have alot of ego players that would to see us get one. I would be in there all the time. That is my thought on the subject. >.<

Imo, I think it should go back to dust once sufficient time has passed and aztec doesn't have enough support (if it still doesn't after a given period of time) and the dust supporters should be given one last chance to keep dust populated. If it can't be kept populated, remove it to free up resources for upcoming CS:GO.

So, if we have this server that we can change to anything why don't we just experiment with different setups, I understand we have had setups in the past that may not have been popular then but who is to say they wont be now.

We could do like someone suggest maybe a monthly poll, to see what the server change may be and follow it for that month see how much traffic we get and go from there, then we could narrow it down to to what might bring in the most traffic and go with that.

While I understand how setting up another GO server might be good for us, and because there are a lot of people with beta access keep in mind there are a lot of people that dont have beta access, I think sticking to a CS:S server setup would be best where as we all have it if we dont we can buy it the GO beta is not available to everyone who wants it so it only benefits a select bunch.

In all honesty a competitive server wouldn't work, our reg isn't good enough, sadly. ; A switch between, dust and aztec, maybe throw in a third map? like nuke? Just to break it up. As well as having a voting system in it, and have an option not to change it. That way if there is a large group of people in there that want to stay on say dust, they can.

Personally I do not play dust or aztec because I am always in Italy when ever I'm on and I don't think its fair on those dedicated Dust players to lose there server even if its empty at times. I wouldn't be very happy if Italy was changed as it is the main reason I play on eGO servers in the first place.

That being said I agree with the people who say to split the 2 maps but with smaller player slots, that way dust remains fun with it's smaller teams and all those dedicated Dust players still have their favourite map. And at the same time we will be trialing the Aztec map which is a rare find on the server list and might attract new pubs.

I can play Dust, Dust2, Office and jail servers at any location in the world with low ping because of how popular those maps are. I can't play Aztec or Italy will less than 200 ping though because they aren't very regular maps. That's I think putting in Aztec will be unique and intrigue other players just like Italy intrigued me.

To sum it up, in my opinion split the 2 servers to keep those dedicated Dust players coming back and to hopefully attract more pubs with Aztec.

Gun game server would be even worse because there's already plenty of great gun game servers out there that people already play on.

We have switched the map back to de_dust while we gather feedback from you (the members) in this thread. I want to make sure we make decisions based on your feedback as a whole. Our final decision will come in a month or so based on this thread.

I'm glad dust got another chance. I hope it ends up staying, but thats up to the people who play it a lot to keep it populated I guess.


On a side note, the !servers is still showing the server name as 24/7 aztec.
