I'll be the Negative Nancy for CS:GO

Shooter games are always better on PC vs. Console. The mouse/keyboard combo for shooters cannot be beat.

As for CS:GO it is disappointing to hear so many bleak reviews. Let's hope that even if CS:GO isn't what we were all hoping for that the CS community turns it into something we can all live with. After all CS has always been about the community making the game what they want it to be.

I always knew from the PC Gamer articles about CS:GO that it was only Valve's way of bringing Counter Strike to the Xbox and PlayStation, and gameplay and such is very console specific.

At least Half-Life 3 will be more PC-friendly I guess.

This is all very true. My friend had a Beta key and I played the game multiple times thru that. The graphics are pretty good, I'll give them that. But the gameplay is simply horrid. The registry of hits is so incredibly off that it completely ruins the whole game. Half the time, skill has nothing to do with the game and luck takes over.

Point is, I'm planning on staying on CS:S and not even buying CS:GO.

CS:S in it's first versions were considered "crap" as well, look at it now.

All I know is that CS, is crap.
Terrorists win.BOOM.

Sn0w wrote a very good post.
Had his points and stated them respectfully and mature.

Keep one thing in mind. Steam makes nothing on gamers playing CS:S for 8 years. They make money on the initial sale of the game, and that's it. So pro gamers are all well and good, however, you have to look at the bigger picture.

The amount of gamer's in general are not super skilled and they like to play games that have a short learning curve. AHLA Halo, etc. But the games that don't require as much skill make the money.

Halo, 5 year olds play this game and can get kills. One of the best selling series of all time
COD, Same story

Valve could turn it around considering the games they put out are always a blast.

I hope valve hears what pc gamers are saying.

The visuals are nice, but until they change quite of few things, it will never play like CS:S or CS 1.6

Great post sn0w! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. My thoughts anyways
