Ideas on increasing the popularity of jail

Also, while I understand this would increase load times for new players, custom skins for the CTs and Ts, along with a Last Request plugin would be pretty cool. I think having an Last Request plugin would make getting LR more enticing.

Even though I highly doubt leadership will ever do it because eGO keep things "vanilla" it is an awesome idea that I've always wanted. Something custom for the server, cmon its jail, at least have a quick fast dl lr plug in or some sort of skins. For me personally, downloading a skin takes me a couple seconds and with this, it will make people want to come back and play more I guess.

As for jail maps, we need to get some old popular maps back such as the original alcatraz and marble. Brings back some old "jailers" and it sucks we can't have 2 versions of the map at once, that would be much better.

I'm not against a LR plugin, but I will always and forever be against forced skins. I enjoy my CT team being reskinned to look like a swat team and won't be too happy if that ever gets changed.

Than the Ct should know how to shoot, that's not an accident its the Cts fault for not being able to aim. If they are told to unstack and some of them are still stacked than they should all die for not complying with orders.

In the situation the T's shot ARE unstacked. The other Ts are a little...too close, but unstacked nonetheless.

How about a plugin that rates Rebels?
Such as ranking players by kills as a Terrorist, while not under the influence of an LR.
Trust me, that wouldn't be too hard. A simple Mergesort and an if/else statement. C'mon, lazy coders.

In the situation the T's shot ARE unstacked. The other Ts are a little...too close, but unstacked nonetheless.

Some things you want to check for when making sure you have a shot are:

1. Ts behind who you are shooting
2. Ts very close to the side where recoil can push your weapon into them

It is the CTs fault if he cannot control his weapon when innocents are in the line of fire.

Thats why give it to people that deserve it and will be using it respectfully and responsibly. Its not like were giving it to every O out there. I agree on bringing it back, but still give the power only to very few people.

The only major problem i can see with it is people will beg and beg for respawn if they get "freekilled". Once they see one person respawn itll cause unnecessary spam of people whining saying they deserve to be respawned.

As for wardays, i agree. Its fun to get a change of pace (if you wanna call it that) with just an all out war xD

and FR/LR, IMO, is fine the way it is. its not like its opinionated (joke day) or by random chance (russian roulette).

How do you define "who deserves it?" Just like I said, it leads to favoritism where only certain people can get it and most of those will likely be friends of higher ups in the community.

Ive noticed many great suggestions about jail. Actually, many past threads have said similar things that seem to never get done/changed. This is actually my point.
I think its great we can come up with all these great suggestions, but we got to start doing! If its "so easy" to create a plugin for something you want, make it! Then submit that to leadership. Essentially what we are doing here is saying, hey leadership, we want all this, now you gotta make it! If we could submit to leadership finished products, we would have better chances of getting it onto the server.
Do remember, jail maps aren't created because someone says they want this and that on a map. A mapper takes his time to create it, then submits it for review.

Most "classic" maps that everyone wants back need a few tweaks to make them up to today's standards for maps. Maybe take a look in the mappers forum and remake the map yourself! I think the best way to get an old map back is to ask map-savvy leadership (christy and rouge) what it would take to get X map back, and that your willing to do the work.

I love all these ideas, and I cant wait to see some of them developed. Just remember, if you want something done, do it.

It used to be that way, but popular vote was usually whoever got 1 vote first and then shushed everyone afterwards. Or a mic spam fest. Each system has its ups and downs, but the downsides of the old system were far worse.

And you'd get the same warden every round and a lot of the pubs would never get warden because of the favoritism of that system.
