Rule confusion - Typos on "go"

So the rules say when you say when I type go, and do a typo, then it still counts. So for example, if you type goat it counts as typing go and you aren't allowed to kill.

However, someone said when I type go and then typed sno and I went. Then, I was killed. The Admins said it wasn't a typo.

What is the difference? How can you ever be sure if it's a typo or not?

Sorry if I was answered in game, I crashed.

I don't play jail a whole lot so I may be wrong, but goat contains the word "go" in the front, so people may be confused and take it as the command to start the race.

However, the word "sno" looks nothing like "go" and has no real relation to it other than it containing an "o". I do believe that it is okay to use, however words like goo, ho, fo, and things along that sort are not allowed since they are too closely related to "go" and are considered typos.

Again, this is just my opinion, so any AT's or Advisors feel free to correct me.

would lean more towards not being a typo if snow/snot/wutever was actually spelled right o_O

If it's something like goat, going, gosh, etc. it is NOT allowed.

If it's nothing close to go, its fine to use such as something like start, begin, snow, snowing, snowy, etc.

go
got
goat
going,
goner,
snow,
snot,
..

LOL man wtf what a list. time to abuse Prisoners next time i'm Warden.

I suppose if we use something like "got", it'll be up to the smartest prisoner to realize it's considered a typo, and to begin the race (or whatever activity's being undertaken). Clever, if not slightly malevolent

By that, you mean its up to the CTs to realize its a typo and not shoot them all.

And this is more reasons why I do not understand the world of Wardens on the Jail server :/

Literally anything containing the 2 letters "g" and "o" sequentially.

*sigh* i hate whining babies that complain about dying because they can't read a damn word -.- it's people like them that ruin jail, they complain and make the rules more strict.

Pathetic imo, who the heck doesn't know when the warden types "go" and he types "goat" it's not only painfully obvious, but it's just like jumping the gun in a foot race, only to be disqualified because you went too early.

just my 2 cents.

Just because you do not perceive go and goat as anywhere near similar to initiate a reaction, some people in jail do. but then again there's people in jail who will false start on silence... Race participants want the word the warden types to be go or start or whatever he said they should start on, and when its something so close such as "goat" the mind can perceive that as go.

However, killing people on technicalities goes against what can make jail fun. There is next to no difference in killing someone for twitching and killing someone for false starting when the 2 words are almost exactly alike. I personally don't kill the Ts at all for false starting unless they don't even bother to realize they made a mistake in starting and keep running, or I'm in a relatively unforgiving mood - usually the former.

People that die to this and complain are no more "whining babies" than those who are freekilled straight out of cells are. They were not freekilled as per jail rules, but what they did was so minor that to be allowed to kill them in the first place for that reason is a flawed concept.

Quite true.

If (not saying I would, but if) a warden were to intentionally use a typo to trick up the t's, it'd probably be best to have a "warden shoots only" rule.

And hope that the CTs listen
