Which actor played the best James Bond?

In honor of the new James Bond film, "Skyfall" being released next week.

Thanks to Pinstripe from the CoD division for this poll suggestion.
 
While Sean Connery without a doubt "made" James Bond famous and set the foundation for the franchise, I really like Daniel Craig version.

The James Bond movies that Daniel Craig played in, was more "real"; good guys losing, getting hurt, etc. Very gritty.
 
Sean Connery started it all. After him in my mind is a very close second in Roger Moore.
 
Sean Connery and Daniel Craig are close calls for the top spot. I thought Roger Moore was a good Bond as well, but not as good as the previous two mentioned.

Moon Raker was pretty close second though.
Then Casino Royale
 
I picked Daniel Craig, although it IS a close call between Sean Connery and Craig. I just like how badass Craig is and the new side of bond he brings to the movies.
 
One thing people haven't considered is the time frame these movies took place. An action movie from the 1970's isn't going to have the same feel as an action movie released 40+ years later. People want to push the evelope for what is acceptible for a PG-14 or 14A movie so there is going to just that much more grit to the movie. So are we asking who made the better Bond (acting ability) or are we asking which movie had the best effects?

All in all though of the actors to have played Bond I perfer Sean Connery, but the visuals in the later movies are good I don't watch them for who is playing Bond I watch for what the movie is another action flick in a danasty of action movies.
 
I re-watched Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace on the weekend and I really liked Daniel Craig as Bond.

Next week? I saw it a few days ago... oh yea, Americans, that's it :P

I dont have an opinion as I haven't really seen the old ones, and cant remember the newer ones too much.
 
Daniel craig is good but my fave is sir roger moore grew up watching him in bond movies :D
