Hello, I dont usually play css, but today I was going to play with my friend when this error msg came: "missing map exemple.bsp, disconecting".
I already allowed the download of all custom files from server but nothing changed. HEEEEELLLLLP!!

yes I did, a lot of times.
Normaly it would download the map but now it isn't downloading it.

delete the map from your maps folder and redownload it.

You may need to go into your maps folder and delete the map you are trying to join.

You can access your maps folder through my computer-c:/-programs x86-steam-steamapps-yourusername-counterstrike: source-maps

Once you delete the map try rejoining the server. It should work.

Curious as to what server you were joining as it might be an issue with the File Transfer Protocol.

This all depends on the server you joined, It could be anything from a simple missing map file on the server side, a corrupt download when getting it from the server, or more then likely the server you tempted to join does not allow you to download the map from there server. Some servers require you to go to fpsbanana.com and manually download the map(s) they play on there server. They do this because it reduces the amount of traffic the server has to manage allowing it to run faster Less Lag/More Frag.

If that is the case it is very simple to fix, Simple go to fpsbanana.com search the map that the server is currently on, download said map. extract it, and put it in your C://Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/YOURSTEAM/Counter-Strike:Source/cstrike/maps.

Doing this will pretty much fix any map errors you have, weather it be corrupt file, or simply the server not allowing downloads.

I know there are some other map download sites i would use those often fpsbanana has viruses embedded in the zips

Maybe i can figure out a way to get you all the maps i have

I'm sure there are better websites to get maps, I was more using fpsbanana as an example/reference. You can use any map site you want

You could always zip your map file and either upload it to eGO's site depending on the size or find a file transferring site for free to upload it to, Then simply give the link they provide you with to whomever is trying to get maps from you

This would only work if the server that he was trying to join was an eGO server. If it's not then that link is pointless.

http://cssmaps.edge-gamers.com/ has every map on the eGO css jail and event server. If you're not on an eGO server you'll have to google the map and download it. I used to have this but it doesn't happen anymore. Only problem I get now is massive choke issues on my new PC
